Can the wires be trimmed shorter?

Yes, they can, I believe they are long because if used how I used them, you'll need the extra wire. There were some that I needed to trim just a bit.

Do you have the 3mm 12v leds in warm light? i have tried to use the white light leds and they can get close in some applications and not others.

Sorry, I can not sure that I do not know what is "12 v out door landscaping lights." 12V that it means that input voltage for " 12 v out door landscaping lights" only. I can nut sure that the items's LEDs is 12V. you need to test by yourself. if the voltage for the LEDs, it must can work. Anyway, our LEDs have a super width voltage range. 3-14V can work too. just 3-6V is not very bright only. Anyway, if you want to try, you can try it too you can buy first, and use first if do not want , you can return to Amazon too.
