How is this for general protection (bicycling, tree climbing, hitting head in small spaces)?

It is just ABS not kevalar... it is good for paintball, tree climbing maybe bicycling. I bought it for my son who paintballs.... PS, very good for hitting head in small places...Lol!

This helmet is a prop piece and provides absolutely no ballistic or other protections that could be expected of a helmet.

Is this the real size of a real mich helmet in small

It's a match pretty closely. To give you an idea I put my ACU helmet cover over this and none of my superiors noticed it was a false helmet. Would not recommend wearing it in a combat situation. But peace time range fire or moc missions that works great.

is this only for adults?

The helmet is set for an adult size. It'll look a bit big on a kid. Its made of a hard plastic, relatively light, and when I got mine (for airsoft) it was missing a couple bolts from the kit. 10/10 would not recommend.
