Salicylic Acid 2% Solution, Acne-Fighting Serum for Blemish-Prone Skin

Ive been extremely impressed with The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution. I originally bought it to help with clogged pores and blackheads, particularly around my nose and in the corners of my nose. The difference has been remarkable. My pores look much cleaner, and I now rarely see a visible blackhead. What surprised me most was the improvement in the overall texture and smoothness of my skin. Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) and is oil-soluble, which allows it to penetrate into the pore and help loosen excess sebum and dead skin cells. It also acts as a chemical exfoliant, helping break down the bonds between dead skin cells at the surface so they can shed more effectively. That exfoliation seems to be making a noticeable cosmetic difference for me. With less buildup of dead skin cells, the surface of my skin feels smoother and more refined, and because the surface is more even, it reflects light more uniformly. The result is a naturally healthier, clearer, glowing appearance rather than dull or rough-looking skin. I started using it once daily and gradually increased to twice daily. My skin has tolerated it exceptionally well with no noticeable dryness, redness, peeling, or irritation. For me, this has been much more than a blackhead treatment. It’s noticeably improved the clarity, texture, smoothness, and overall appearance of my skin. Definitely a product I plan to continue using. 5 stars. Buy it ! It’s a great price! Much better then proactive which I have Used for over 20 years. I’m like everyone else….I wish I found this little gem sooner. Even the fine lines have been reduced, my skin is never look so good and I’m 53 years old.

I’ve been using The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and overall I like it. It’s a simple product with a lightweight texture that absorbs easily into the skin. This has been great so far! I have been using it for around two weeks and at this point all of my pimples are gone. It won't stop the scarring but does help prevent them. I still exfoliate my skin every few days as it doesn't really replace that part of the skin care process, but overall I have enjoyed the experience. My skin is also very dry and pretty sensitive, so after application I use a thin layer of lotion to make sure the product doesn't overly dry out my skin. I would also advise people to test a portion of their skin to make sure there is no irritation. I definitely feel a slight burning when it's on my raw face, but it has never scarred me. That doesn't mean it will be the same for everyone though.

This stuff is magic! I get little bumps on my forehead that I'm assuming are clogged pores. Nothing else I've tried has ever worked. I figured it was something I'd just have to accept. Chatgpt (don't hate) actually recommended this to me. I've been using it about 3 times a week. After washing my face, I put some drops onto a cotton ball or cotton pad, and go over my whole face with it. I noticed a difference within a few days. These before and after pictures are after using it for about 2 weeks! Such a difference! My forehead looks so much better, and really my whole face looks more even and toned. My skin is pretty oily in the summer so I haven't dealt with any dryness like others have said, but I could see that maybe happening in the winter months when my skin gets more dry. If that happens, I'll just go down to using it maybe twice a week. Also, I can't believe how inexpensive this stuff is! I recommend this to everyone!

Did help get rid of pimples and keep my face acne free, but can really dry the skin if not using a proper moisturizer

This stuff is AMAZING for under $10??!! I’m shocked. My forehead was smooth as a baby’s bottom until I started tanning beds and then I broke out badly. I saw the other girls 2 week review and instantly bought. This has made a huge difference for me in only 6 DAYS. I started off with 3x a day. Morning, afternoon, night. It feels a tad dry but it doesn’t make your skin look dry if that makes sense. I would recommend for anyone struggling with these clogged pores!!

La textura es bastante ligera y transparente. Se distribuye con facilidad por todo el rostro y se absorbe rápidamente. Algo que me gustó mucho es que no deja la piel grasosa, oleosa ni pegajosa, como me ha pasado con otros sérums. Al contrario, deja una sensación fresca y la piel se siente lisa después de aplicarlo. En cuanto a la sensación durante la aplicación, no provoca ardor en condiciones normales. Solo llegué a sentir una ligera molestia cuando lo apliqué sobre granitos abiertos o pequeñas heridas en la piel, pero fue un ardor muy leve que desapareció rápidamente. En ningún momento me irritó la piel ni empeoró mi acné. Respecto a los resultados, noté que realmente cumple con lo que promete. Tenía muchos comedones cerrados en la parte inferior de la boca y, después de varias semanas de uso, esos pequeños puntos blancos comenzaron a salir por sí solos. También observé que disminuyó la cantidad de comedones y que otros granitos maduraron y desaparecieron sin necesidad de exprimirlos. En mi experiencia, es un sérum eficaz para tratar imperfecciones y mejorar la textura de la piel. Además, su fórmula es cómoda de usar por lo ligera que es y porque no deja residuos molestos. Si tienes piel grasa o con tendencia al acné, considero que es una muy buena opción y, personalmente, ¡sí lo recomiendo!

Muy contenta con este producto. Hay que utilizarlo con prudencia, porque si se abusa seca mucho la piel, pero aplicándolo uno o dos días a la semana, por la noche, es genial. Deja una piel muy bonita y ayuda a contralar imperfecciones y a mejorar la apariencia de los poros.

L’ho inserito nella routine principalmente su naso, fronte e mento, dove tendo ad avere più punti neri e pori congestionati. La texture è leggera e bastano poche gocce, quindi il flacone da 30 ml dura parecchio. La cosa che ho trovato più utile è l’effetto sulla texture della pelle dopo un utilizzo costante: non “cancella” i punti neri da un giorno all’altro, ma nel tempo rende le zone più problematiche meno ruvide e più uniformi. Il limite è che il 2% non è affatto innocuo se si utilizzano contemporaneamente retinoidi, altri acidi o detergenti aggressivi: aumentando troppo la frequenza ho trovato la pelle più secca. Meglio iniziare gradualmente. Ottimo prodotto per chi vuole un BHA semplice e senza una formula inutilmente complicata.

Acheté pour mon fils de 13 ans à la peau acneique et grasse, après un mois d’utilisation la transformation est folle! Je n’en reviens pas! Il n’a plus de boutons, quelques points noir encore mais rien comparé au mois dernier! Et Il régule bien sa peau grasse. Il l’utilise dans sa routine du soir ( il a une autre routine le matin très efficace aussi mais qui ne nécessite pas de mettre de la crème solaire toute la journée par rapport aux composants, ce qui n’est pas pratique quand on est collégien). Mon fils a la peau sensible, à la première utilisation il a eu une petite sensation de picotements, mais pas de réaction. Produit très abordable et économique car il a besoin de très peu de gouttes. Je recommande!

Product is perfect, I gave 1 star for the delivery, he did not call before delivery to confirm my presense at home , he left the package at the door unattended, and could have been easily stolen :(
