The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution, Acne-Fighting Serum for Blemish-Prone Skin

Ive been extremely impressed with The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution. I originally bought it to help with clogged pores and blackheads, particularly around my nose and in the corners of my nose. The difference has been remarkable. My pores look much cleaner, and I now rarely see a visible blackhead. What surprised me most was the improvement in the overall texture and smoothness of my skin. Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) and is oil-soluble, which allows it to penetrate into the pore and help loosen excess sebum and dead skin cells. It also acts as a chemical exfoliant, helping break down the bonds between dead skin cells at the surface so they can shed more effectively. That exfoliation seems to be making a noticeable cosmetic difference for me. With less buildup of dead skin cells, the surface of my skin feels smoother and more refined, and because the surface is more even, it reflects light more uniformly. The result is a naturally healthier, clearer, glowing appearance rather than dull or rough-looking skin. I started using it once daily and gradually increased to twice daily. My skin has tolerated it exceptionally well with no noticeable dryness, redness, peeling, or irritation. For me, this has been much more than a blackhead treatment. It’s noticeably improved the clarity, texture, smoothness, and overall appearance of my skin. Definitely a product I plan to continue using. 5 stars. Buy it ! It’s a great price! Much better then proactive which I have Used for over 20 years. I’m like everyone else….I wish I found this little gem sooner. Even the fine lines have been reduced, my skin is never look so good and I’m 53 years old.

Great price for an effective product. I have sensitive skin. I usually dilute it with a cream or else it is quite strong on the skin. Will dry and irritate my skin if used by itself. It got rid of a monster, red rash on the face when nothing else was working. Cleared it up real nice and quick. If I'm having any skin issues like rashes or bumpy skin, it is my holy grail.

This has been great so far! I have been using it for around two weeks and at this point all of my pimples are gone. It won't stop the scarring but does help prevent them. I still exfoliate my skin every few days as it doesn't really replace that part of the skin care process, but overall I have enjoyed the experience. My skin is also very dry and pretty sensitive, so after application I use a thin layer of lotion to make sure the product doesn't overly dry out my skin. I would also advise people to test a portion of their skin to make sure there is no irritation. I definitely feel a slight burning when it's on my raw face, but it has never scarred me. That doesn't mean it will be the same for everyone though.

I am in the sun a lot. I have noticed a few dark spots that I do not care for. The doctor said they are nothing serious, just damage from the sun. I have used this for a bit now, and I am finally swig significant improvement in texture and a lightening of the spots. It doesn’t take them away. They are just less visible.

Muy contenta con este producto. Hay que utilizarlo con prudencia, porque si se abusa seca mucho la piel, pero aplicándolo uno o dos días a la semana, por la noche, es genial. Deja una piel muy bonita y ayuda a contralar imperfecciones y a mejorar la apariencia de los poros.

Acheté pour mon fils de 13 ans à la peau acneique et grasse, après un mois d’utilisation la transformation est folle! Je n’en reviens pas! Il n’a plus de boutons, quelques points noir encore mais rien comparé au mois dernier! Et Il régule bien sa peau grasse. Il l’utilise dans sa routine du soir ( il a une autre routine le matin très efficace aussi mais qui ne nécessite pas de mettre de la crème solaire toute la journée par rapport aux composants, ce qui n’est pas pratique quand on est collégien). Mon fils a la peau sensible, à la première utilisation il a eu une petite sensation de picotements, mais pas de réaction. Produit très abordable et économique car il a besoin de très peu de gouttes. Je recommande!

The bottle, product, and dropper provides great value at the listed price. The salicylic acid itself is easy to apply and since you are only meant to use a few drops at a time, the bottle lasts a long time. This was a great addition to my skincare routine.
