You have to be patient with this product: I dilute it and spray it on leaves with one of those hand pump sprayers, and it works better than anything on thick brush and vines, and raspberries an blueberries too: anything that is a hedge, a thick vine or a thorny invading monster, this product will kill it. Spray it diluted on the leaves and say goodby to what your neighbor planted on your property line after about three to five weeks. Just have patience. I don't think it works on grass, don't know why, so just get something else that says weed and grass killer for that and do not complain that this doesn't work. It's for the heavy stuff.

Works as described but rather expensive

I bought this to mix in my sprayer because it was cheaper than roundup or spectracide, which I’ve used with success. but when I peeled back the label to read the instructions, I was shocked to learn that it takes 24 oz for a gallon. The others usually called for about 4 oz. I also bought this hoping that the claim that it keeps weeds away for a year is true. We’ll see. I just sprayed weeds in my front yard and back. After about half an hour I see the weeds are wilted and turning brown. If they come back in less than a year, I won’t be buying this again. It’s too expensive because of the dilution rate.

I have used Ortho GroundClear on my desert granite landscaping. It stops weeds and grass in it tracks. My landscaper recommended using it double strength. I have been doing that with good results.

Does a good job keeping vegetation down, especially in California where powerful such chemicals are banned. I see a lot of people complaining this it didn't kill the weeds immediatly. I thought the same thing and even applied it again. The directions are not to spray it on a weed but to saturate the ground. Once I sprasyed it a few times, I had inadvertently saturated the ground. It does not kill quickly but it does kill and if the ground is saturated will kill until all that is visible is dirt. Of course it doesn't last a year in every case. The first time it did but we had little rain. When we had more rain I had to reapply when the weeds started creeping back into the treated area. As of today 3 months after the touch-up it is still dirt like it was 3 years ago when I started using it.

Kills grass and weeds and works pretty well, but is not as effective on some hardier weeds.

I bought this product hoping it would do as good a job as the much more expensive big-name brand vegetation killer. It did do a fair to good job preventing many (but not all) weeds, and killed most grasses. However, it didn't prevent a LOT of flower seeds from germinating and growing like weeds in the area I hoped to keep clear of vegetation this growing season. The attached photo, which I took a couple weeks ago, shows the growth of flowers, with a few tall weeds mixed in, after spraying that area TWICE back in early April of this year. I gave it two stars instead of one because it did prevent a lot of the usual weeds from sprouting and growing.
