Huge time-saver — my skeptical husband is now a believer!
I bought this as a gift for my husband since we make fries about once a week, and he usually cuts them all by hand. He was skeptical at first, but this fry cutter has more than earned its place in our kitchen! It turns a mountain of potatoes into perfect fries in just minutes — so much faster and easier than slicing by hand. We got the 1/2" blade and it's been perfect for our needs — we haven’t felt the need to try any other sizes. It’s surprisingly easy to use; the suction base holds really well, and even our kids love taking turns pressing the handle down. It’s handled every type of potato we've thrown at it: yellow, gold, red, russet, even sweet potatoes — all without issue. The fries come out evenly cut and crisp up beautifully in the oven or fryer because they're all the same size. There was one small hiccup early on — a bolt came loose — but we tightened it and haven’t had a problem since. Cleaning isn’t bad either; I use a long-bristled brush to get into the little crevices and it takes just a couple minutes.Overall, great quality, super functional, and definitely a tool we’ll keep using. Worth every penny!

Love it!
This stainless steel cutter has been a great addition to my kitchen tools—it slices potatoes, carrots, cucumbers, and other firm veggies into perfect 1/2-inch thick strips with almost no effort. The handle has a solid grip, and the leverage makes it easy to push through even tougher vegetables. It’s also easy to clean, and the stainless steel construction feels durable and well-made. Whether you’re prepping fries or just want consistent veggie cuts for cooking, this tool saves time and gives really clean, uniform results. Definitely a helpful tool to have around.

Buy this! You'll wonder how you ever got by without it.
This thing works great. Simple to assemble and set up. Blades are plenty sharp. Not too difficult to push a potato through. suction cup holds pretty well. This thing is so fast and efficient that you'll be making so many French fries. I have both the 1/2" and 3/8" blades. I have only used the 3/8" and it produces perfect fries. They are a tad bigger than the fast food (MacDonalds) version, but I like 3/8" better. The machine will process a very large potato whole, without needing to cut it down. I flattened out the ends of the potatoes and kept the skins on. Doing it that way, you can produce a huge amount of fries in seconds. I then cooked them in the air fryer. I highly recommend this machine. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would buy a version that costs more than this one because there is simply nothing to improve on.

"I'll take a side of fries with that."
First, I want to thank fellow user Brandon for his review at <<https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/review/B09N366CB8/RJ6M6NFZMUDSO?ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_dprv_E9237EWPTQZ0EJ4ZV1P7>>. It gave me a better idea of what to expect. I have some physical limitations and based on other reviews would have thought this to be like a hot knife through butter. Having said that...EASE OF USE:This does require some strength to push it through. It was a little awkward for me at first, but after a couple of tries, got it through and it became easier.ASSEMBLY FOR USE:As for the assembly, putting it together is a cinch. Insert the round handle into the threaded end of the flat handle and tighten. Then, lay the device on its base (meaning the suction cup on the counter), pull the push mechanism all the way back, insert the flat handle with the bend pointing toward the blades, line up the holes in the handle with the holes in the mechanism, insert the screws, tighten them, and you're done.MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLY:For the unit itself, as one reviewer, Baby Mama (assuming it was Baby Papa in the video) noted in a video, it would be better if there were two suction cups, one on each end. I had some issues with it sliding on me while trying to push down to push the potato through. So, a suction cup on each end would be helpful, in my opinion. I just place a lightweight microfiber cloth under the other side where the blade is for helping stabilize that end.The overall unit is sturdy, and I don't feel like it's going to just pop apart while pushing down. It's relatively lightweight, comes with two different blades and corresponding pushers, which is great if you want to make different things (like French fries or zucchini fries). This makes it incredibly easier than cutting by hand, and more precise. Previously, I was using a mandoline for the slices, then using a slice to gage the width of the sticks for the fries and it just felt too laborious. This streamlines the entire thing and is safer than the mandoline. (While I am an experienced mandoline user, the SNL horror show always runs through my mind while using it for some reason.)One thing I did notice is this says it is designed for sweet potatoes, but I tried with a small piece of one instead of trying a whole one, since most potato cutters CANNOT properly cut them because of how tough they are. And this didn't seem to be able to do it, either. As I said, I have some physical strength issues, so maybe that is why, but I shouldn't need THAT much strength.OVERALL:I think this is a great product. It's at a reasonable price point for what you get. It's sturdy, relatively easy to use, and actually fulfills it's purpose. I'd definitely recommend it. But, I did have to take it down a star for, in my opinion, needing the second suction cup.Thank you Sopito.
