Bonide Garden Rich Pruning Sealer with Brush Top Applicator, 16 oz Ready-to-Use Protective Seal for Trees, Shrubs, Roses

The product appears to be as described and will function as intended. It was a good purchase.

We just had our trees pruned and want to seal them. We’ve used this brand before and was very happy with it. It is easy to use and its consistency is great.

This is a great product. Hard to find this size in retail stores and I didn't want to drive to several stores looking for it. It was easy to find on Amazon. Great quality with good directions on the can label.

Bonide Pruning Sealer is a practical product for protecting fresh-cut wounds on trees, shrubs, and roses after pruning. The brush-top applicator is convenient and allows for precise application directly over cut surfaces without getting your hands messy. We used it on our apple trees and rose bushes after a heavy spring pruning session. The sealer dries relatively quickly to a black, tar-like film that adheres well even on vertical or curved surfaces. It's water resistant once dried. We noticed healthy callus formation on the treated cuts over the growing season, and no fungal issues developed on the major cuts where we applied it. The 16 oz can provides plenty of product for multiple pruning seasons for a typical home garden. Some gardeners debate whether pruning sealers are necessary, but for larger cuts on valuable trees, it gives peace of mind. Overall a solid traditional product for wound sealing.

Had tree limbs large size trimmed back so I applied this and it prevented and damage to the areas that were open to the elements.
