The next evolution of Green Day.
This is a pretty good album. It's still not classic "Dookie" or "Insomniac" Green Day, but it's also not yet another rehash of "American Idiot," it's the next evolution of Green Day's sound. Definitely an enjoyable album no matter which era of the band you grew up with.

Green Day are in fine form here, some classics
When I first heard “the American dream is killing me” I knew Green Day had their awesomeness back. This entire album is extremely consistent and is definitely not them trying to do some experimental thing, but it sounds like the perfection of their original sound actually. The album just flows and there’s no filler. Some songs like the first song I mentioned sound like a cross between American idiot and nimrod. There are other songs with that sound like that as well, also hints of warning and dookie at times. It’s better than the trilogy and 21st century breakdown. There are so many great guitar lines and you can definitely hear their influences like the ramones, Black Sabbath, the who, the kinks, etc. this album doesn’t surpass the albums I mentioned but is definitely up there. Recommended to all longtime fans of the band. Newcomers get dookie or nimrod.
