Can this be used on a pop top roof of a camper van ?

I am sure that it could be to be honest, it does not stick for long, we also used gorilla tape on the edges and that did the job.

Can this product be used to repair a tear in canvas? It's for a VW camper with a raising roof - the canvas got caught in the scissor mechanism!!
