Now I am retired, I have more time to address annoying little jobs that have been outstanding for years, including giving my oven a good clean. The glass at the front gets a quick wipe after use but over the years a thickish grease stain has built up I am ashamed to say. Because of the position of the cooker, this has not been too obvious thankfully. I must have tried every spray/chemical and other concotions on the glass door to no avail, but when I get a bee in my bonnet that's the end of it - the problem must be solved. So I entered the words on line "how to rectify a grease stained door without using chemicals" and this little tool popped up ! I has a good look at it on Amazon and read the reviews and decided to take a chance on it and my goodness has it paid off ! I expected to be at it for hours but in total it took me 10 minutes using this handy little tool (I am aged 73 so not exactly strong) and the door is as clean as when we bought it - I had to shout my husband to come inside to have a look - he wasn't best pleased as he thought something was wrong but he too could not believe it. I had a cuppa and then used it on a specially fitted tin in the oven and that had miraculous effects too. I cannot get over how excited I am by this result, and the door I have been ashamed of for years back to its former glory. Please give it a try if you have the problem of grease on your cooker but it will also come in handy for many other things I am sure - money well spent !

Works wonders on glass hob but sometimes the blade slips back inside

Easy to use and does exactly as described.No more scrubbing with a cloth and soapy water this gadget does it effortessly and leaves no residue.Must have item for all diy enthusiasts.

Quite stiff and difficult to retract the blade especially if you suffer from a touch of arthritis in the fingers.

There's an interesting mix of reviews on this but thought I'd try, as I didn't find the scraper that came with my hob brite, very good (plus it rusted up quite quickly).I have used this on my hob, along crevices and scraped paint off a surface and it worked brilliantly!In this video, our microwave had melted onto our old hob, as the switch was accidentally turned on. I remembered this scraper and gave it a go. It was amazing! Didn't damage the hob at all.I used it often on my new ceramic hob and it gets all the crud off.Obviously try a small patch first, to ensure it's safe on the surface you're wanting it for, but I think it's a really great little tool!The blade is easy to change and new ones are carefully wrapped in a little envelope.

I bought this to clean the oven as it was over due a clean, this product was great to get into bits that need extra scrubbing. It came with plenty of spare scalpels and easy to change.One thing I will say though is don’t put it in water as mine does not stay where it is supposed to and moves up and down when using
