10001 Transfer Case Pump Upgrade Kit
T**.
Very nice piece
I have a 2003 Silverado 1500HD 4x4 that I have owned since new. It wasn't showing any pump rub leaks but I wanted to get this upgrade before it happened. After youtubing the process, I bought this kit and took it to my mechanic. He said it went right in, came with everything he needed and had no issues. Took about three hours according to him to pull the driveshafts, drop the transfer case, put in the new upgrade and reinstall everything. Seems to be running fine inside the transfer case and now no worries about the dreaded pump rub hole.

Transfer Case saver!
After getting it rebuild and having the same issue a year later I went to YouTube for a real fix I came across this. This went in transfer case #3 for me and believe it will be the last.So many places say that rebuilt will take car of it or they use a thicker case bs. They just say that to reassure you because it should last 150k. Would have been nice but 17k later another leaking case, if they would have put this in I would still be on case 1. Glad I have it now!

great quality
I did not have as much pump rub as some did. I pulled my NP246 from my 07 Suburban to see if there was an issue because I was (and still am) getting the famous GM clunk. I was hoping there was something in the transfer case that was worn out after 185k. No such luck. While I was in it though I decided to fix a TSB problem with these transfer cases. I replaced the pump housing and slipped it back in. Great quality product and fit perfectly. You either need one or you don't. If you are having symptoms of pump rub (leaking fluid), buy this to correct any future problems after you fix your case housing :)

Peace of mind and eliminates Pump rub save $$$
2004 Silverado z71. Works great it's an easy install. You'll need some wide jaw snap ring pliers, flat head screwdriver, and torq #10 for installation. Im not mechanical savy but did it myself to save money. This adapter has BEEFY tabs on it compared to knife edges of OEM. Gotta junk yard T-case with only 90,000 miles on it and it too was getting pump rub. Get this for peace of mind you won't regret it. First pic is the hole in Tcase.

THIS IS "THE" FIX
SAFE TO ASSUME, IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT THIS PRODUCT FOR PREVENTATIVE OR THE DAMAGE IS ALREADY DONE TO THE TAIL STOCK ON YOUR TRANSFER CASE, NP261/NP263 , THIS IS THE BEST ON THE MARKET, VERY HIGH QUALITY, PERFECT FIT, PROBLEM SOLVED!!!. THERE SHOULD BE A CLASS ACTION SUIT ON GM FOR THE DESIGN FLAW ON THE PUMP/CASE FITMENT ISSUES. AT LEAST SOMEBODY WITH VISION HAS COME UP WITH THIS REPAIR SO IT CAN NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. IF I ONLY KNEW ABOUT THIS BEFORE IT WAS TOO LATE, ITS WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Second one of these kits from MA I have installed ...
Second one of these kits from MA I have installed. The first one I put in a Silverado 1500 as a preventative measure. The case had a small amount of rub, would have been a big problem later on. I then put 50,000 miles on the truck with no problems. Not a hard install at all, once the case is out of the truck. The second install was on a 2500HD that had already developed a leak. I bought a Dorman case half to fix the damage that was already done and am now confident that it won't have any "pump rub" problems in the future. There are cheaper alternatives available now, but I felt the few extra dollars for this kit were worth it with the past success I have had with it.

Much better than the cheaper one that looks the same
I first ordered the cheaper version that looks like this one just without the branding. The tolerances were not acceptable. I returned it and got the merchant auto version. Much better.

It fits and does exactly what it is designed to do!
The media could not be loaded. I used this product in my 2006 Silverado 1500. It fits perfectly, I can already tell it does exactly what is was designed to do and I haven't even reinstalled the transfer case back in the truck yet. I have 15 years experience working on cars and trucks therefore my advice is if you do not have the right tools or the know-how please let someone who is experienced or a professional install this. All in all I'm very satisfied with this product. I highly recommend anybody with a GM factory transfer case get this part installed it will save you oodles of money in the long run!!!
