I ordered this glaze for one of my high school art projects. The glaze had an accurate color and good adhesion to the clay body.. The glaze was good quality and functioned for what I needed it for.

Just what i needed

I’m a high school art teacher, and this is my go-to glaze for Art I students. It gives solid coverage with just one coat, which is great when you’re working with a limited budget. For more opaque results, 2–3 coats work best, but one coat is usually enough for classroom use. I used two jars of dark brown across four ceramics projects with about 130 students (they also had other colors available). The dark brown is very rich and deep, and some students mixed in white to create lighter tones. The glossy finish is a big bonus—it eliminates the need for a separate clear glaze, which saves both time and money.

I usually prefer blues that are either darker, or have a bit of green. I knew what this color was when I purchased it, and I am happy with the results of this glaze. This may be used more in combination with other colors, but it's still a solid choice, especially if you're looking for a straight-forward, medium blue.

Blistered in a once-fire. Re-fired and soaked to heal somewhat.

Love this glaze. It paints on easily. The glaze is not too thick so does not dry too fast and it does not crack like some others. I used two coats and it worked beautifully. The final look is a shiny black as advertised and looked perfect for my project. Great value.

I am really confused by the directions on the bottle. The product description states that it can be fired from cone 06 to cone 6, but the bottle indicates it can only be fired to cone 05 at the highest temperature. That's a huge difference in firing temperature. I was looking for a glaze for mid-fire clay, not low fire, so it's not useful for the project I bought it for. As an aside, I have not used the glaze yet, so I can't attest to how well it does on low-fire clay.
