Required to wear for 2 weeks after knee replacement surgery Totexil Compression saved my sanity!
Especially if you are in a position in healthcare that requires patients to wear Compression Stockings after surgery, please read this:My pre-operation procedure for complete knee replacement included the nurse putting me in one Compression Stocking on the leg not operated on, and informing me that I would wake up in another stocking on the surgical leg. She informed me that I would be sent home with another pair and must wear them for two full weeks post-surgery, and should hand wash the pair I had been wearing as I changed them every other day.I do not know how the nurse chose the size stocking for me, but immediately upon putting them on, I became terribly uncomfortable in the upper thigh area and informed her that it was much too tight. She said they would be uncomfortable and that it came with the necessity of keeping the stockings tight enough to control a potential blood clot. For a couple of post-surgical days, I suffered terribly, with deep gauges in my upper thigh which ultimately caused bruising. I finally called my doctor to be told that it is the number one complaint of their post-operation patients. My Physical Therapist informed me of the same thing. LET ME REPEAT THAT: I WAS INFORMED THAT DISCOMFORT OF THE COMPRESSION STOCKINGS WERE THE NUMBER ONE POST-SURGICAL COMPLAINT!I wondered if these people had ever considered why that would be, and it became my cause to find out why. Long story short, in which I purchased several pair of Compression Stockings by different manufacturers and in different sizes, I think I know why. very simply - I was not measured for the stockings which were first put on me. Finally, by taking good measurements of my legs from toe to upper thigh and reading Amazon reviews, I discovered the right fit with Totexil. From the moment I put them on although they were tight, I had no pain. I am now in my second pair, have worn them constantly except for showering, which includes sleeping in them. I don't even know that they are there and my Physical Therapist says they are exactly what is required. MEASUREMENT IS KEY! I hope this review saves many people from the pain and discomfort I went through. If you are in the medical industry and are the person who chooses the compression stockings, please buy a tape measure and put your patient in the correct size. It has become my mission to inform everyone with whom I came in contact for my surgery how important this is. BTW: I am 5'4" and weigh 165, with large upper thighs. I wear a 2XL Totexil, and was originally put in an XL by the pre-op nurse. I like the black.

I work 12 hours in production
I love these things I don’t come to work without them on anymore and when I do I definitely feel it in my feet. This is my second pair that I bought but the first pair lasted me about a good seven months before the elastic on top started getting a little bit loose and also from pulling them up and down. There was a few snags but definitely worth it. When I don’t wear them and I get home and takeoff my shoes, it feels like my feet just spread out and get so swollen when I wear them and I go home. I don’t feel bad at all with my feet and throughout the day at work, it definitely helps, if you work 12 hours a day and are walking around on hard concrete floor all day I definitely recommend these. The elastic works really well too. I have pretty thick thighs and was worried about them rolling down and I never have that problem. Not onece only when the elastic got a little bit loose then they slide down a little bit but seriously get you a pair. Trust me you’ll be glad you did.

The thighs are too big
I never thought these would be too big! I have pretty large thighs, but these don't stay up at all. According to the size chart they should have actually been tight. They have a nice band at the top, and should have been fine, but they are just too big, so fall down below my knees as I move. The quality is good, so I may try a smaller size.

Tight high compression hose.
Good compression and fit; however, top band very very tight. It makes fit a lit!tle uncomfortable. I purchased stockings because I am recovering from knee replacement surgery.

Compression Uncertainty
I needed a certain compression of stockings but was not able to ascertain they were what I ordered as they were not marked. I tried them on, they were okay but again, I needed a certain compression per my doctor. I guess if you're concerned about the compression, then don't buy these and if not then they'd be find. Quality was okay.

I will purchase more of these.
Quick delivery, fits well and are very comfortable to wear. The are easy to put on if you pinch the heel, pull the top of the sock below the heel and after you have them on your foot, pull them the rest of the way up.
