Amusing and Fun
This was a fun variation; many passages of dialogue are taken directly from the source or the film adaptations, but that is understandable to some extent. The characters seemed true to their natures, and overall it was enjoyable. Some passages were a bit repetitive, so I kept my rating to a 4. It didn’t blow me away, but it was enjoyable.

It all started with a runaway flock of cantankerous sheep and a dunking in a pond.
The sheep that got away from their shepherds had to be some of the most stubborn beasts ever. Mr. Darcy ends up in his own pond and is thoroughly embarrassed to be seen by Miss Elizabeth Bennet, who had rejected his marriage proposal months earlier. Touring the Lake District with her Aunt and Uncle Gardiner, they also took a tour of Pemberly. It's here, while relaxing by one of the ponds that Miss Elizabeth sees Mr. Darcy exiting the water. Determined to be cordial, she tries to engage in light banter while making every effort not to ogle the handsome , thoroughly drenched man. Well, guess what? There's one sheep who takes exception to this intruder and headbutt her in the back, right into the pond, and so it begins. You'll laugh at the ridiculous, gasp at the obcerd and thoroughly enjoy this wonderful story. I certainly did.

Ok
Ms. Breen's books begin with good premises that always catch my attention, but the plot seems to fall short for me. For this one, though E&D are often in the same place, they do not have deep or meaningful conversations. As in others, there is not a conversation of love. Narration states that they know it of each other, but they never actually tell each other. I am left feeling the book was flat.

Funny variation
After being knocked into the lake by a sheep, Darcy and Elizabeth are accidentally compromised. Elizabeth agrees to marry but requests a longer courtship to get to know Darcy before they we'd and he agrees. Their courtship is filled with Darcy's attempts to woo Elizabeth, getting Charles and Jane together, the problem of Lydia and Wickham, and the interference of Lady Catherine and Carolone Bingley. I wish there had been more of the courtship and more sheep antics (all of which were funny). But overall a good, fast, fun read.

A marriage of convenience must happen due to....a sheep
Fitzwilliam Darcy is not a man to be laughed at. Admired, yes. Envied, often. Deferred to, of course. And obeyed by, well....everyone.Well, everyone except....those four legged, stubborn, smelly bundles of walking wool! But as it turned out, Darcy is going to forever be grateful to one of those ovine terrors - because without that sheep's help, he wouldn't have had to propose to Miss Elizabeth Bennet. Now that he has, and she has finally accepted, life will be perfect.Won't it?A fun and lively time at Pemberley is within these pages. Darcy relearns the lessons he needed to remember, and Elizabeth finds the man she loves underneath that arrogant facade.

Cute clean hilarious
Hilarious through and through. I loved the underlying twist within the plot. I loved how the sheep showed up here and there. The courtship was cute, but the determination to wed is awesome. Lady C and Miss B are truly horrid, but that is expected. The Bennet family is cute this time. Not too much drama, well written, clean, and a definite read for anyone.

enjoyable until it wasn’t
This was an ok read, I did start to just scan the pages as we got to the end, it seemed to really really drag. There were too many sickly sweet moments for my taste and some historical inaccuracies. But it was ok. I would recommend it but be prepared for the ending to keep on going and going.

Delightful
I found this on Fanfic.net well the first chapter or so and found it charming and wished to read more so I hijacked my mother's kindle and was pleasantly surprised. This is one of the best compromise/love writings I have found of P&P and it is brilliant. I really do enjoy your work and hope to read more. This was engaging, funny, sweet and just over all a wonderful read.Thank you for the effort you put into this. I am delighted truly in your ability.- Nic

I loved it!
Such a riveting tale. I couldn’t put it down. I got so engrossed in the story that I actually felt like I was apart of the story. I also love the all time classic original book it’s based, plus all the TV series and movie adaptations as well.

Lighthearted fun, but ultimately dragged
This book started so well, with a great premise. I had been really looking forward to reading it, having seen the initial chapters while it wad a work in progress. Unfortunately the writing didn't keep my interest, and there were a few inconsistencies. The best bits were nonetheless lighthearted and enjoyable.

Entertaining
It is an amusing entertaining book with a light hearted story line with plenty to enjoy. My only misgivings are the lack of knowledge of the period and England. If you write a P&P variation you should do some research. Turtles in a Derbyshire pond - I don't think so and the Sun Newspaper was first published in 1964 over a hundred years after this period. But worth a read as I said it is entertaining
