Brite-RUniversal 360° Rotatable Headlight Clamp for Bicycle

Please see the photos. I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned before, but the threaded end for adjustment has been installed the wrong way round. This means that if you screw the QR lever to adjust and then try to push the QR lever down it will not go down as the threaded end of the bolt will stop it. My pictures demonstrate how little this needs to be showing to prevent closure. This product is therefore no good for anything other than the fattest of handlebars as even with the largest shims it is too loose.Compare with the Hope product, link below, and you will see that the threaded end is the other way round when compared to my pictures and the pictures for this product on Amazon.This product says it is designed and engineered in the UK, clearly the manufacturers don't use their own product and skip quality control.

This should have been the perfect solution for me. I own a pair of Brite-R Uno II headlights and wanted something a little more secure than the rubber band fitting. And so I come across these - perfect! These will do the job.... No they don't. The brass screw in the clamp fitting is HALF the size of the screw hole in the headlight.. how on earth have they managed to design a fitting that doesn't even fit their own products??

Lasted 11 months (around 1,000 miles). Fitted and removed around 52 times. Then it broke (no drops or knocks, it just snapped in half when I removed it this morning).

Does the job.

The clamp is of insufficiently robust design or material. It broke within a week of use. There is a point of weakness at the hole for the rubber pad. This is where it broke.I cannot recommend it for supporting a headlamp on a bicycle.
