Excellent & Fool Proof!
I’m a beginner who has always been intimidated to start the sourdough process, however this starter is fool proof with step by step instructions. I had active starter within 3 days and baked my very first loaf! It tasted great! Highly recommend!

Sourdough Starter for beginners
Very easy to use, and very fresh as well! Especially if you don't want to go through the mess of creating your own from scratch or have failed each time making one from scratch like I have. The size was as advertised. As long as you follow the directions your starter will turn out the way it's meant to. I fed mine King Arthur's whole wheat flour for the first couple of days and I am now switching to King Arthur's Unbleached Bread Flour to maintain it and to help get rid of the acetone smell that developed as it was fermenting and eating through the whole wheat flour too fast. You want a texture that is more stiff and hard rather then runny or pancake like, similar to a dairy queen blizzard where it can't fall out of the your jar or container. I can't wait to beging baking with my starter and taste the flavors of sourdough bread. I do keep my starter in the microwave as it's the only place that stays warm in my apartment. Here's a picture of my starter having risen quite a bit being fed only Whole wheat flour.

Very active starter! Success immediately.
Starter doubled on Day 2 and 3 It comes with fantastic directions that are easy to follow. I bought this so I could learn to bake while my homemade sourdough starter becomes active and strong. I can't wait to start baking!

READ THIS IF YOUR A NEWBIE!!
I wanted to come on here and leave a REAL review to follow. I am a complete newbie with sourdough and have been wanting to test my hand at it. I went through and bought everything I needed and the recommended tools to have on hand. I even bought the kneadace pro jar. I bought this dehydrated starter instead of making my own to make things easier and so I wouldn’t lose hope if my starter didn’t make it. Anyway this arrived Friday, once I got it I immediately dove it. My advice keep a small journal to write each day down, what you do/changes, USE A SCALE and throw out the cloth cover and only use the silicone!! Day 1 I started the starter around 2pm mixed with water. STIR STIR STIR. keep stirring. Make sure the room isn’t too cold. I put mine in the warmest spot of the house and it was around 75 degrees the whole time. So directions say wait 3 hours. Don’t do that, wait until there’s no more flakes and they are all dissolved. ONCE all flakes are dissolved do your first feed of flour. I use King Arthur organic. Stir well and Cover with silicone lid and wait 24 hours. Day 2 after 24 hours feed your starter again this time with both 90 grams of flour and 90 grams of water. Use a scale for all measurements!! Mix good and cover again with the silicone lid. Wait 24 hours. After this feeding my starter was sitting at the 250ml line. Day 3 I woke up to check my starter and holy heck she had already rose to 500ml and still going strong. She smelled amazing and had lots of bubbles. Let it continue to rise. A few hours later, I checked and she was up to 750ml the highest peak and super bubbly. It more than tripled!! I waited and let it fall back down. Once it was fallen, I transferred all of the starter into a new jar and washed my starter jar thoroughly. Then I discarded all but 90 grams of starter into the clean jar. Then fed 90 & 90 of water and flour. Stirred and covered. The discard was about 200 grams. You can put it in the fridge and use it for discard recipes, throw it out, or turn it into a second jar of active starter. If you do choose to keep it as a second starter make sure to feed it before you put it in the fridge. You’re going to cover your starter jar and let it sit out on the counter continuing to feed it and discard until your ready to bake. I will say last night when I fed it again, my starter rose much faster, it more then doubled and had already fallen when I woke up this morning. It’s So bubbly, healthy and thriving. She smells great. I can’t wait to bake with her. Once I do bake I’ll come back and update my review with those results. But I have a feeling everything will turn out great and delicious. PS make sure to name your starter! Mines named Dumbledough lol

Did not work! Update:They sent me another!!
At first, a funny smell. Day two it was gray looking and did not smell like sourdough starter. Third day it had some mold growing on it so I threw it out. I hope the seller can refund me or possibly replace it. I don’t know if The other pack that I got with it is of the same quality. . Not a very good starter. Probably will try the 2nd pack, Then move on. Here’s the review update. They sent me another package of this to try. I haven’t as of yet, but I can change the review some and up the number of stars. Thanks for sending again

Makes a strong starter!
I followed the directions to a T and it has been working out fine. I’ve been regularly feeding it since November and it’s doing great, though I haven’t made any successful loaves just yet 🙈. It’s only JUST now getting mature enough to make a good loaf because I put it in the fridge for a few weeks to slow down the yeast activity. Pulled it out of the fridge the other day and have been feeding it daily. It’s look beautiful. Can’t wait to try and bake with it again!

Amazing so far!
I’ve tried to make my own starter 4 times now. The last one got to day 14 and then grew mold 😵💫 I decided to give this one a try. Directions are easy to follow. I’m already seeing bubbles and rise on day 2. I’m shocked. I can’t wait to bake with this. Photo shown is hour 26 (day 2, 2 hours)

Happy with My Starter
I have wanted to try my hand at a sourdough starter, so I decided to try this brand. I liked the reviews, and the price was good. It was easy to mix, and the step-by-step instructions were easy to follow (they even provide a phone number for any help you may need). It took about two weeks until I had a strong starter that I could bake with. I just started baking this week, and although my loaves do not look the best, they taste great. I would recommend this brand to anyone who wants to start their sourdough journey.

I made sourdough starter a dozen time and the last time it didn't work for some reason (i bet its my flour that just doesn't have the good bacteria or something in it), so i tried this and im impressed. It's been 2 days and tomorrow i am pretty sure it will be ready. If you don't wanna wait 2-4 weeks for a starter, take this It's worth it

Honestly very impressed I did not expect it to rise day 3 I thought it would take a couple more days but not only rose but it doubled! I tried the breadtopia one as I used that before to make a 'quick' starter but this time around it failed. Even with the breadtopia one it did not rise or smell correctly for a couple days. Will try to not forget about the starter in the fridge this time but if I do I know which one I am trying first! Also note I used warm water idk if I call it hot or Luke warm to dissolve stuff since people said it is hard to dissolve. And I just kept it by my rice cooker as it was keeping left over rice warm at a constant 25-26 which probably helped. Did do the same thing for the other brand as well but did not take off and buttery bacteria took over UPDATE: it still is good but the smell like a young starter like acetone so can't use right away. But it doubles very quickly so probably still need a couple days before baking
