Note,comes without batteries or charger. Had charger and 2 batteries from the lawn mower,so no issues. Well made and put together,supplied line is pretty heavy duty and dig a great job on the overgrown weeds in the garden. Battery seems to last better than I thought. Not tried the metal brush trimmer yet,but it looks well made.

This is a powerful, well built machine which really takes care of the scrub, brambles, bamboo and all the other invasive species in my garden.It's expensive, especially when you remember that the battery and charger are not included, and they aren't cheap! But you get what you pay for. My garden is large and fairly wild, so I needed a serious cutter, and this fits the bill. Assembly was easy. The swap between strimmer reel and brush blade is easy, once you understand the use of the little tool which stops the reel rotating!If you have a small tame garden you don't need this. But if nature invades your acres this is great!

So I have only used it the once so far - and so far so good! - with the blade on, much meatier than the cordless strimmer - cuts through brambles, small branches, thick nettles etc no problem at all.Swapping the strimmer line for the blade was really difficult to understand from the instructions - but, I, a woman in her late 50s, got there. Here's what you have to do: take the tool that looks like an alan key (but isn't) and insert it in the small rectangularly hole at the base under the strimmer line unit, as the unit turns, it lines up with a hole inside, you need to poke your not-an-alan key in there. This is to give resistance when you turn the strimmer line unit which you can do with your other hand. Unwind it all the way and take it off. Then put the large silver disc on, the blade, the smaller silver disc and the nut on, tighten up the nut with the given tool, and you will need to poke your not-an-alan key tool back into the aforementioned hole (!) to offer resistance whilst you tighten the nut. This trimmer is AMAZING!!! I have batteries from my lawn mower, easy to use, powerful, I can do the corners, edges. My wrist are hurting a bit, but to be fair the grass was overgrown, so it took me more time. I am 41women, I love it. Highly recommend. Please note comes without batteries.

I purchased this for the brush cutter capability as I have a lot of overgrown weeds and bramble and my previous strimmer was hopeless trimming stuff like that but I didn't actually need the brush cutter tool at all. Just using the strimmer was enough. Now that could be because the strimmer cable thickness is at 2.4mm making it more capable but it worked like a charm. It only took about 15min to clear a pretty large area so I'm very pleased with this strimmer.

The brush utter was bought especially to attack overgrown area on our allotment.I have been very impressed with its performance. It is able tackle all manner of plants, both large and small.Battery usage is very impressive too, meaning I’m able to really clear a lot of ground on one battery charge.It is easier to use than an ordinary strimmer.

I’ve cleared so much overgrown areas of the garden! Cuts through brambles like butter! Not too heavy, found the battery life of an hour perfect to then rest your shoulders for half an hour! And clear up! Then off again! Thank you Bosch!
