NETGEAR WiFi 7 Router Nighthawk Tri-Band WiFi 7 (RS700S) - security features, Wireless BE19000 speed (up to 19 Gbps) - 10gb Internet port

got the NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 7 Tri-Band Router recently, and it’s been an absolute game-changer for our home network. The WiFi 7 speeds (up to 19Gbps) are genuinely impressive, downloads, streaming, and gaming all run smoothly with zero lag. Even with multiple devices connected at once, including smart TVs, phones, and laptops, the performance stays rock solid. The coverage is excellent, reaching up to 3,500 sq ft without any noticeable dead spots. I was especially impressed with how well it handled multiple users and devices, it easily supports up to 200 devices, making it perfect for larger households or home offices. The tri-band system intelligently balances traffic, keeping everything running efficiently. Setup was straightforward thanks to the Nighthawk app, which guides you step by step. The 10 Gig internet connection support is also a great bonus for anyone wanting to future-proof their network or take full advantage of high speed fiber connections.

Not the cheapest WiFi Router out there but the Nighthawk RS700 qualifies its price tag with its sheer performance, blinding WiFi speed and simplicity of set up. I actually have 2 of these routers covering my home with one working as a gateway and the other acting as an access point. Coverage is great, transfer and data speeds are super fast and Armour just keeps getting better and better. Fast and stable with great coverage, a simple intuitive app for set up with a great GUI for more complex configurations, this router has the right blend of great functionality, cutting edge tech and ease of use. This is one quality product, beautifully designed, wonderfully packaged and so performant. It unboxes like an Apple product, it's so well weighted and specification-wise it ticks all the boxes: 1) Three WiFi radios - one for 2.4GHz, another for 5GHz and the third for the newly opened 6GHz band. 2) Each of the three radios can support 4 concurrent transmisssions and receptions aka 4x4 + 4x4 + 4x4. 3) It supports the newly available WiFi 320MHz channel bandwidth on 6GHz, and that's important because dual-radio WiFi 7 routers can't! And that is one aspect of where WiFi 7's highest speeds come from. 4) MLO - multi-link operation - bonding 2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz channels together for HUGE speeds, again a feature new to WiFi 7. 5) MRU - multi resource unit support - this is where the improvements in latency come from in WiFi 7. 6) 4K QAM operation - really close-up to the router (<3m) this is another new addition and another part of the contribution to the BE19000 rating of this router. Again this is only available on WiFi 7. 7) Dual 10Gbps ethernet ports! 8) USB 3.0, 4 more 1Gbps LAN ports and and App, and plus a well thought-out web user interface. It's spectacular! BUT it has no support for any WiFi Mesh standard, not WiFi Alliance's EasyMesh or even a Netgear proprietary WiFi mesh protocol. Why was that important to me? Well today I run 2x ASUS XT8 WiFi Mesh nodes (you might use the term router, and that's fine). WiFi mesh means you hook one WiFi router to your incoming broadband, and then place another one somewhere else in your home and then the two devices work together wirelessly to give you whole home WiFi coverage. But this router doesn't support ANY mesh standard, so I can't make them form a WiFi mesh network. Now, if today you don't need two WiFi nodes in your setup, then no matter which type of incoming broadband you have then this is the router for you IF you have WiFi 7 or WiFi 6E devices. It's also highly unlikely to noticely improve your current WiFi experience unless you're using WiFi 5 or powerline or WiFi repeater devices in your setup. From Apple ONLY the 2024 iPhone 16 models support WiFi 7, and only iPhone 15 Pro supports WiFi 6E. Apple's latest M4 iPads don't support WiFi 7 or 6E, and the current M3 MacBook Pro only supports WiFi 6E. Please note, if you receive one of these the first thing you MUST do is update it's firmware. Because the WiFi 7 standard is new and all of the vendors are rushing products to the market but those products will have been on the manufacturing production line 2-3months ago, and then sea-shipped (most likely) from China (add another 4-6weeks for that). So the software installed in the factory WILL have been superceded by a much more stable version simply because the OEM has had more test time and issues reported from early adopters and the market.

Having read many reviews of this router it seemed like it was going to be the best thing since sliced bread. Our house being only 796 square feet, this router has a theoretical range of 3,500 square feet. Overkill...yes for sure but I need the fast internet speeds throughout the home with minimal speed drops. To my horror I was getting 45.6mbps down and 8.3mbps upload metres away from the router on multiple devices, when we have 900mbps download and upload speed coming into the house. Maybe I must have had a faulty unit, but I had to return especially at this router's price point. Weirdly our ISP's router outperforms this... Tried all sorts, factory reset, AP Mode / Router Mode & multiple devices and nothing changed the situation.

I bought some MR60s a while back and loved them. So when I got a new isp router (tplink) and realised they had customised the firmware to see devices behind the router I was somewhat annoyed. I looked at only one brand with my past history, that was NETGEAR. Started with the mesh system the 970s however i liked the mr60s so much I looked at the new BE19000. Meaning I could keep my armor subscription I only have a small house and the router being a WiFi 7, and more modern now covers my house without mesh. The benefits of this brand also is it allows Mac cloning which my isp uses for fixed ip allocation, my network speed is 2Gb. My MacBook tests at 1.7Mb on wifi A bit more about Armor too, I’m a security engineer, I was testing our corporate firewall which is an industry leading PaloAlto (with traps and wildfire) - the test failed, it didn’t detect the attack, however my Armor subscription did, blocked at the router level before getting in a machine. Well worth the subscription

Options are limited, and it misses some of the key configurations that I would expect on such an expensive router. But this does mean that setup and configuration is easy as there are not many options. Also we are still waiting for firmware updates to enable some Wifi7 features. Signal strength is okay, but nothing special. I would recommend new Wifi7 routers with quad band, rather than the tri-band this comes with.

I’ve had this router for a month now and it’s working perfectly lovely piece of kit

This replaced my Wi-Fi 5 mesh network after it bit the dust. It handles my entire smart home (48 devices), TV, PS5, PC, and 2 phones without sweat. Didn't notice any heat issues or noise. The initial setup could use fewer restarts (I think it restarted over 10 times while I dialed my settings in) but it is what it is. So far, it's been setup-and-forget.

RS700s NETGEAR is zeer stabiel via kabel . 10gb Wifi 7 Ik merk wel een verschil van de RX500 Gaming router. Armor is slechts paar dagen geldig (Dus het is niet gratis voor een jaar) kost ongeveer 56 dollar en niet duur alles in 1 daarna kun je aanvragen voor een jaar lang inclusief Bitdefender. Heb zelf ook een Bitdefender ben zeer tevreden mee. Dus uit informatie hoef je niet Defender niet verwijderen dat gaat alles automatisch als je armor krijgt. Ik ben zeer tevreden met de nieuwste technologie. Niet twijfelen gewoon doen.

Outstanding service and this router is crazy powerful - Wifi is full all around the entire stone house. And my new PC with Wifi 7 on board - its really fast.

peccato che le stelle sono solo cinque perché questo fenomenale router ne merita di più. Per giunta avendolo aquistato per così dire usato ho approfittato di un prezzo veramente basso. Sulla conferma dell'ordine di Amazon c'era scritto: usato nuovo di zecca. Infatti ho ricevuto un oggetto veramente intonso. Installato senza problemi con la app Nighthawk del telefonino, che ha provveduto pure alla registrazione del prodotto sul sito di Netgear e attivato Armor con abbonamento per un anno compreso nell'acquisto. Allego due foto di speed test una wifi e una wired. Devo aggiungere che ho letto recensioni tranchant su questo router e penso che chi le ha scritte non sa di che parla. E' un oggetto evoluto e mal si adatta a utenti non in grado di capirlo e maneggiarlo. Aggiungo anche un nuovo speed test wifi ottenuto ottimizzando l'orientamento delle antenne della scheda wifi7 del PC. Ho trascurato di precisare che i test wifi sono stati fatti a 5-6 metri dal router senza vista diretta tra le antenne e il router stesso. Devo ancora integrare la mia recensione perché il 12-5-2026 ho aggiornato il firmware alla nuova versione 1.0.11.6 e rifacendo vari test ho constatato un ulteriore miglioramento delle prestazioni che erano già eccellenti.
