The Black Magic Sudden Death product is great. The same hold as the original Sudden Death Mustache Wax and provides a rich black color to the facial hair. Also, it does not leave your face and fingers full of dark black dye as one might suppose. I had my reservations about it and was quite pleased that it wiped off my fingers and face with great ease but stayed quite intact on my ‘stache. Great Job Death Grip Mustache Wax. This is another great product amidst a great variety of products to maintain and style one’s ‘stache.

Decided to try to you curl the mustache with the black. The black looks really good and makes the curl pop. Definitely not for an all day event. But will definitely last you a few hours. If I had a choice I would go back and get the stronger hold. The strongest hold I think was probably the best. This one seems to last a few hours before it starts to come apart. Especially in summer

Good hold, good dark color but brushes out to your preferred color tone, works amazing all day in a mechanic shop

It's soft and easy to apply and colors my stacked very well. Its scent isn't too off putting and dissipates fairly quickly. Functionally, it holds shape almost all day without re-application, but the color wipes away easily. It's a solid product I'll keep in rotation.

The hold isn’t great. It’s not workable in the fingers. Clean up gets messy. I used a towel to clean my fingers thinking it would be washable afterwards and it wasn’t. My towel came out the washer with stains. It does darken white hairs as stated but overall it didn’t work for me.

The core Death Grip wax has always been amazing and now it comes in black! My first try with this I may have applied a bit much. My mustache and beard are red so it was a drastic difference once my beard was still red and my mustache was jet black. My second try I think I got it right by adding less and using it after I already applied my Vintage Grooming Co. Bone Crusher wax (my everyday wax). Getting it brushed through the mustache really helps distribute the black wax and make it look less like I put on a false mustache. I actually left it in and let it naturally fade back to my normal color after a few days. Great product, kinda messy due to the color, but a fun addition to my wax options. You can also fully remove the color and wax with Vintage Grooming Co. wax remover oil, which I have also tried and love for the deep cleaning and full wax removal. Can't wait to see what other awesome products they come up with!

IT'S WITCHCRAFT just kidding, but black magic can be a game changer. My facial hair is on the lighter side, and oft multicoloured like a calico stage of growing older. I grabbed some black magic for the novelty of it, but it's rather fascinating how it works. Firstly, no scent . It is odor free, probably due to the charcoal in it. I enjoy its ease of application, and if I want to lighten a shade or two, I can lightly wash on it, if I want to go full Monty with a thick black mustache, I can achieve that look too. Its hold is strong, lasts through the day more oft than not. And afterwards, I can wash it out and the charcoal elements leave a softness to my stache with a more natural look from being held as it is. I'm a fan!

My first time using this, but hot dayum is it GREAT! The hold is amazing, and theres no scent. Its also jet black so it sorta hides the few gray stragglers i got! 😁
