The shorts looked and felt like they were pretty good quality, including the liner. But, they didn't fit as slim and trim as they appear in the photo, at least, not for me. I'm 5'9", 150lbs, so my legs are not big and muscular the way legs appear in the ads for pretty much all men's swimwear. Everything fits me like a parachute, even the stuff advertised as 'slim.' And no one includes the dimensions for the leg openings in the ads, this company included. That measurement would probably help limit the number of returns. At any rate, the shorts, at a size small, were too baggy for my taste, so I returned them.

Great Length, useful pockets, good value for the money, nice materials for swimming.

Too tight on he inner layer.

I wear a 29-30 in pants, and to be safe I got the 30. Unfortunately, they fit very snug on the hips and too binding for me around the waist, not comfortable at all.This is too bad as they are made with good quality materials, and they are super light and seem very breathable. Reasonably priced too. The color army green is exactly as shown in the web photos.I would not describe the liner as mesh material. It is more of a light supportive spandex.Because they run small, I advise sizing up.

I actually got these shorts to wear when I am jet-skiing in the warmer seasons. Alas, it’s the middle of winter and freezing cold here, so I have not been able to give these shorts a fair test yet in that regard :).What I can tell you is that I have used them for a few workouts now and I have found them to be comfortable and just the right length for me (well above the knee but not too short). These are definitely sporty shorts and the fabric feels durable. The overall fit is good, and they allow for unrestricted movement during workouts without being baggy, so I suspect these will also be just as good for hitting the water in the springtime.I tend to have a waist of around 34-inches, but my legs around my quadricep muscles tends to be a little bigger than average. I took a gamble and figured these shorts would run on the small side, so I order a pair of 36’s in the black/red color. I’ve found that these are in fact true to their size – the 36 is indeed a 36-inch waist with several extra inches of elastic expansion if needed. Although these shorts stay up on my waist just fine, I will need to tie them well when jet-skiing. In hindsight, I probably should have got the 34’s, with the risk of them being a little bit snug on my legs. I do however appreciate that this company is producing these shorts true to their size, so you should not need to guess if ordering. Overall, I really like these. I just might order a second pair in 34 just to give them a try.The only issue I had is with washing these. They hold up fine in the wash, but, be warned that with mine the inner liner bled pretty badly and turned a few of my white t-shirts to a shade of pink. My bad I suppose for mixing these with other laundry, lol, but I still really like these shorts.

My old swim trunks looked a little tattered. These trunks looked like the perfect replacement and, so far, they are! They have two features I love. There is a compression liner that makes me feel confident this suit is not going to head in a separate direction while I am wearing it. Second, it dries really fast! The chlorine in the pool has, so far, not affected the colors. But I have only worn these trunks a few times so I can't state for sure that will be the long-term case.I ordered my normal size and they fit great. Don't order larger or you will really have to cinch the waist to keep them up.These can double as shorts if you like but I am saving mine for the pool.
