Awkward, Season 5 [Blu-ray]

28 January, 2018 - As stated in my original one star posting, I would come back in six months and try again. The first thing I noticed was that Season 5 is now only offered in Blu-ray. I guess they gave up trying to get the DVD format to work. However, the price for the Blu-ray is the same as Season 4 in DVD, so I'm not complaining. So, I received Season 5 and went to play it. It works!!! I can now give this season 5 stars because, not only is it a good final season, you can now complete your "Awkward" library.Original posting:This is strictly a product review. First, let me start by saying that I have Awkward Seasons 1 through 4, and they play without any problems. However, Season 5 is a different story. Placing the first disc into the player, the main menu came up. From there I selected the episode guide and that came up. Then I selected play all. Without leaving the episode guide picture, the player was trying to do its job, but to no avail. The time display was stuck at 00:00. But, after about 20 seconds, the timer jumped to 1:13, then 9:24, then 13:56, 19:52 and so on. It seemed the player was jumping chapters without playing the disc. The stop function would not work, but I got out by going to the main menu. I then selected the episode guide again and, this time, I tried to just play the first episode. The exact same thing happened, including the exact same time numbers, confirming my theory about the chapter jumps. I tried playing the other two discs, but they also would not play. Next, I did a return and replace. Having received the replacement Season 5, I immediately went to play the first disc, and guess what? I was having the exact same problem again. The exact same problem with the exact same time display numbers coming up. All three discs were, once again, defective. Now I have done the return with refund option. I will probably wait six months and try again, hoping that they will fix the problem by then.

This is a great series! I'm glad that I finally received the fifth and (sadly) final season!

I still like the show but this back and forth between the two main individuals need to stop calm down and stop letting other stuff stop them from being together

Went to watch these in my ps4 and only the audio played, the screen was black. Read on the back of the case...dvd player only. Put them in a dvd player both audio and picture works fine.

I've been hooked on Awkward since I saw the first episode on the first season. There wasn't a doubt in my mind I had to have all the DVD's! They arrived when they were supposed to and the playback is perfect. I am very happy with this purchase.

This show has everything you need.. Love, laughter, heartbreak and happiness.. If you haven't watched it yet.. U must but be warned u won't want it to end.. Left me wishing for a Season 6...

This show is relatable on so many levels, hands down my favorite show!
