Where is this product made?

Blade is made in the United States. It is assembled in Mexico. The source of my information is the product page on Amazon. This is a very good micro plane grater.

What is the warranty term for this product

All of Microplane's products are backed by a lifetime warranty. We will happily replace your item in the event that it breaks or replace it with a newer model of equal value in the event that the model you own is discontinued.

I'm looking for a grater strictly for parmigiana cheese...I don't want shaved, thick pieces, just small, long pieces. Is this the one? Thanks!

Sorry I haven't used it to grate parmigiana cheese. I use it mainly for carrots but it doesn't produce long pieces. I think it would work with a hard cheese if you run it down rather than short shredding up and down. It is good for carrots and produces moist pieces that taste really good. Sorry that I cant be more helpful.

This thing is great

There has to be a reason that America's Test Kitchen called this their number one choice. It really does grate things quickly and easily. After spending almost 15 minutes trying to grate enough ginger for a teaspoon and a half with my old grater, I checked around online, found the ATK video and ordered one. I grated some of the same ginger root, making 2 teaspoons, in about a minute and a half. This thing is sharp and gets the job done. Well worth the $19. And it cleans easily and has a plastic cover to keep it clean and sharp while stored. By the way, it is the best tool I've had for making lemon, lime or orange zest.

Wonderful blade

Grates parmesan easily and produces a good amount of grated cheese with each stroke. This is the second one I have had. The blade on the first one is still good after several years of use, but the plastic handle and frame repeatedly broke in various places, and I finally could not superglue it back together. Even so, I bought a second because the Microplane blade is the best grater blade I have ever used. I am giving this new one 4 stars because I do not know how durable the frame or handle will be after about 5 uses.

Best grater for ginger

Saw this recommended on America's Test Kitchen and use it for grating ginger. We use grated ginger for a garnish so a good grater is very helpful. This grater works really well and 100% agree with ATC.
