I bought this as I was fed up of buying the small packs of microwave bags, that easily burn on the bottom and over priced when you can grab a bag of popcorn kernals for like 50p at Tesco. I am impressed with how well the popcorn maker works. I've owned an electric popcorn maker before and I actually prefer this one. One reviewer left a video complaining that the lid was too small for the bowl. That is deliberate. Had she tried the item she would understand how it works. The lid rises up as the popcorn pops. Had the lid been the same diameter as the top of the bowl, the constant popping of the kernels could have popped off the lid. As it is, the popped kernels pushed the lid up allowing the space in the bowl to expand. Non of the kernels escaped and most of the kernels popped. I used three tablespoons of kernels and set my microwave for three minutes, though I stopped it with 17 seconds left because the popping had slowed and I didn't want any of the popcorn to burn. It was easy to clean in the dishwasher. The item was larger than I thought it would be. I didn't detect any type of plastic smell. This could have been because I washed it by hand before using it and let it air dry in the dishwasher drain. Overall, it was a good purchase. I'm glad I purchased this instead of getting another electric popcorn maker. It is an easy, no-fuss way to make popcorn and the popcorn maker cost much less than an electric one.

I’ve tried it twice and each time I got perfect popcorn. Popping starts within the first 30 seconds and all ready in about two minutes. No oil needed!The downside is that the bowl is quite flimsy and doesn’t look great. Also get quite hot so not great as a serving bowl.

Game changer! So I've been a fan of popcorn for the majority of my 50 trips around the sun, I've usually popped kernels in oil in a pan... My arteries don't like this... I bought this with low expectations.. holy cow! Perfect air popped popcorn in the microwave in 4 minutes. It's quick, safe and idiot proof. If you like popcorn and own a microwave you need this product!

This works. Although some kernals did not pop so I only put them in again and it tainted the lid slightly, popped the remaining kernals but they tasted burnt so if some don't pop just bin them but it seems a waste. I used 40g. I would say 20 kernals didn't pop which is a shame but it could be the microwave. I had it on high for 3 minutes and what did pop was fine. Just trial and error. Before I had this I used a bowl with a lid that blew off so I knew the concept would work and it was good not to have it flying everywhere. If I try it again and every kernel pops it will be worth it. I did not add anything else. This is much easier than stove based because less can go wrong. If you are considering buying one but are undecided I would say try a microwave bowl with a plate on top first to see if you like it. It gets full marks because it is easy and cheaper than the hob and no oil water or anything else. Easy for teenagers to do too. Rather than eating fatty crisps. It is a good size to share, couple of bowlfuls for a party. All in all a winner and time and money saver on expensive snack products not as though I buy many. I could not upload any pictures or video unfortunately.

Excellent product, with only a 3rd of a cup I still made too much. It was so light and fluffy, all cooked to perfection 👌 with a teaspoon of maple syrup, this was only 1 point on my weight watchers app! Very impressed. Bought the corm from amazon too. Great healthy snack. Thank you

Just received today and made my first batch. The pluses are, inexpensive, well designed and simple to use.The negatives, there are NONE.I highly recommend this if you want to make popcorn at home.

The media could not be loaded. I don't usually write reviews and this is the first time I made my own popcorn at home and yes, this item really works. Came out just exactly as expected. . Quick and with just a small amount of corn kernel you can get that much. Am happy with my purchase 😃
