I had a lot of buildup at the bottom of my tea kettle. Followed the instructions: I put some water in, boiled it, then put in the powder and expected to let it sit overnight but I didn't have to. The pot was clean in a few hours, not sure how many, more than two less than 6 and my kettle is spotless.

It works well as announced. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

It is easy to use and it cleans my distiller boiling tank very good.

So, you don't have to and probably shouldn't follow the directions. Use twice as much as suggested, leave it for no more than 2 hours, and rinse it thoroughly for an excellent effect. I read other reviews for the product, you definitely don't want to leave it in your device for four hours or overnight, I suspect you will get pitting of the metal (I have not personally experienced this!). Very effective and wonderfully satisfying to use! Returned our distiller to factory-new appearance! Excellent value, I think I have more than a years supply here.
