I used this mesh as a windbreak around my gazebo, and overall it worked really well. The material itself is strong, blocks a lot of wind, and still lets air pass through so it doesn’t act like a sail. It held up nicely through several strong storms. The only thing I’d improve is the edge reinforcement — the grommets could be a bit tougher for high-wind areas. Still a solid product and worth the price.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This barrier provides good privacy and ample protection from wind. It is holding up well under the New Mexico sun, which can be damaging to just about everything left exposed to it. So far I am very pleased with the performance of this screen. A strong wind broke many of the cable ties I had used to attach the screen to my fence, but the screen itself remained undamaged. I then used metal wire to re-attach the screen. It is made of quality materials with plenty of grommets.

I had a need for a 8'x50' privacy screen for my yard and after doing some research I opted to go with the ColourTree 8' x 50' Green Fence Privacy. The price was very reasonable and the overall comments about the product were very favorable, so I figured I'd give it a shot. The screen is a nice deep green color and the fabric is quite thick and appears to be very durable and well made. The height is slightly less than 8ft (as mentioned in the Amazon product specifications) so I adjust my fence height accordingly to accommodate that. The included zip ties work very well to hold the screen to the fence and the grommets are sturdy and nicely spaced. So far after 3 weeks the screen has held up fine to hard rain and two wind storms without any issues. Not sure how many years I will get out of this but the stated warranty is 3 years which is very cool. The screen does a great job of shielding the view of my items that I keep behind it and overall it looks really good. Very pleased with this purchase and would certainly recommend it to others!

I noticed the item weight on this 170gsm for 8x50 is 14.2#, but item weight for the "heavier" 220gsm one is 11#. After contacting Colourtree, they said the 170 should be closer to 10#. Well received it and it is 14.2# (shipping weight 16.9#). So something about weights on these are messed up. I bought the cheaper one because I wanted lightest one. I'm likely going to pay the extra $15 for the exchange (but waiting to hear from Colourtree for exact weight of the 220gsm ones). Since "gsm" stands for grams per square meter, 220 has to weigh more than 170, especially since the 220 banding is supposed to be heavier duty. The quality of this is excellent, so either is a good product. I'm using this as a pool dome cover, so weight is important. 3 stars because of description issues. Comes with a pack of 50 cable ties, nice addition! Edit: After some calculations, the 220gsm had to weigh way more than the 11# advertised. 8x50=400 sq.ft. = 37.16 sq.meters 170gsm x 37.16 = 6317 grams = 13.9# 220gsm x 37.16 = 8175 grams = 18.0# So, I'm happy with the 170gsm, since it must be at least 20% lighter than the 220. The fabric is very durable. Bumped my rating to 4, still knocked one off for descriptions. Warning: eyelet spacing is not equal. That shouldn't matter for a fence, but if you plan on using to splice together, you'll need to install more grommets. I'm making a 16'x50' pool cover from 2 of these. Looking good!

Almost 4 years owning, besides the damage i did to it, it has outlasted, limbs fallings, trees growing along the fence, does not tear easily is stretchy yet firm, grommets are sturdy, I will not say unbreakable however hold up way better than the others advertised does provide good privacy screen, color is one of the best. Easy to use, wind is no match. has a great look. would buy more it is pricey, purchasing a second to cover 100 ft for fence line (Public Easement). yes buy. also this is 8 x 50!

This is our third order. It works great for privacy - even in the harshest weather conditions. We finally replaced one long 50' panel in the garden after 7 years - and only because something had caught on it in a severe winter storm and made a hole. Great stuff. So glad the replacement was as good as the original order.

A great value. Well made. Good grommets. I am 68 and was able to install an 8’X25’ section myself in under 1 hour. Comes with 40 zip ties.

Has been installed for a couple months, no issues. Almost 2 years later and I have a small frayed section . This is in an area that gets wind from across a lake. It has done very well considering location and size, it’s 8’ tall .

just a nice green back ground, thick enough to give complete privacy but let light through

Easy to install, nice clean look, fairly opaque. We had 90km/hr winds today and it withstood all the gusts. Glad for the purchase.
