Can make playing alot easier.
The first one I recieved was defective, but they shipped me another on immediately, and it worked fine. It only takes a few minutes to install if your not using the solder options (I didn't). It works great and is easy to use. There are also tons of videos on youtube to help you out if you need it.

Much better than spending $200
This product works, not sure why there are so many bad reviews. It comes with absolutely everything you need to get the job done. All my remapping buttons work, controller works, it's a much better and cheaper alternative than buying a $200+ controller with paddles. Also the paddles are a nice size, you're not accidentally hitting the paddles during gameplay. Just take your time. Also you can check which product you need buy removing the r1 button. It just pops off with a flathead screwdriver so you're not guessing which one you need and accidentally order the wrong one.

Did not know I had to disassemble the controller. Now it is broken and I have to buy a new one
I had a PS4 programmable backpads that were plug and play. After reviewing the entire post I see it needs to be disassembled, however I bought these PS5 paddles off of the title and pictures alone. It wasn't obvious to me I would need to take apart the controller, which now is not working correctly. Also the orange tool broke on both ends so I had to do the rest of the disassembling with a screw driver

Definitely need prior knowledge
This was easy to assemble but we had research a bit on how to do it.

Soldering is optional
This little doodad is pretty awesome. I managed to put it together in about an hour and a half. You don't need to be afraid of taking the shell off with a bit of force. I was trying to baby it and it just took forever, so feel free to reef on it. The microphone ribbons on the bottom of the controller board with the little rubber grommets are very brittle and I snapped mine with one sleight pull. Good thing for me though I don't have any use for the mic on my controller. There is no in depth tutorial, and the only video that shows the process misses a couple caveats such as the optional touch pad remap. Not only is it mostly unnecessary to remap that button, but my touch pad was a different model than the one shown. I own a BDM-040 and the tutorial is also that model, but with entirely different track pad architecture and no documentation to make a more educated guess. I was prepared to actually do the soldering, which I did with the R3 and L3 remap ribbon, but it was unclear how to proceed. Another touch that was missing from the tutorial video was how to attach the paddles themselves. The tutorials for the previous models by other YouTuber's are sufficient. The actual function of the buttons are not explained at all, and you will have to find other YouTube videos in order to remap your controller. The remaps work very well and I actually like the feels of the buttons. I'm currently using the turbo function to gamble at the Mu Continent slot machines in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment on my PS3 right now and it is working flawlessly. Playing Days Gone I discovered that the turbo mapped to L3 (with the optional soldered ribbon) will cause you to lose stamina slower while still running. Good luck with your mod.

Paddles actually work
Easy install if you know how to open a controller. These back paddles are a cost effective solution to $200-$300 controllers elsewhere. Will buy again in the future.

Great quality but not something for kids to assemble
It works perfectly, but assembly is not something for kids. It requires e.g. really precise soldering which can be done only by a handy adult or very skilled teenager. The kit itself very "professional" quality.
