Very effective, worth every penny.
Very simple to use, if you feel a cold sore coming just get a tube and dab a little on the affected area. It is very fast acting giving relief from the tingling when they are coming and also the burning when theyve already broken out. I keep the tubes in the fridge when unopened and they last for quite a long while. They are 2g per tube and dont require using a lot at a time. Overall coldsores that would be all over my lips for over a week if untreated this stuff stops the spreading, and heals your coldsore in around 48 hours if used before it fully breaks out. Worth every penny for the effectiveness.

Thinner consistency
I don't believe there is an 'all out' winner as far as cold sore creams go and it really depends on severity, cold sore stage and person to person. After years of experience, us that suffer with them eventually get to know what's coming and how severe they will be. This time I got caught out. I have more than usual and as one dies down, another two pop up. Quite small and fairly controllable to be honest but still unsightly and annoying. I've tried a few of the better known brands but always open to try new reputable ones. I think other reviews pretty much sum this cream up. It's as useful as the other top brands but does come a bit more liquid like, or should I say thinner consistency. It seems to have an effect on the sores but needs a bit of rubbing in and stays wet on the lip, as opposed to another cream I use which dries and leaves a white coating. I've used this for the first time but also in conjunction with a heat device that I'm trying for the first time. Between the two, I seem to have got control of things and the emerging blisters have been stopped in their tracks. Fingers are crossed, but this cream is much cheaper than the other brand I used and a pack of 5 tubes is a bargain. I'll be sticking to this for now and see how it performs a the next outbreak.
