Don't be like me, dont think you can just switch the cable around. This is a HDMI to DP only - I can still use it, just had to figure out a different way to run the actual cable I needed.

I bought this for my Dell Optiplex 7020 Micro, as it only had a HDMI 1.4 port - which didn't support 4k. The DisplayPort did support it, so I used this Ugreen cable to get 4k and the audio to my TV. The cable itself is well built and seems durable enough and will connect without issue if you are going from DisplayPort to HDMI. I think it was a good value for money as Ugreen products are generally well built and look nice, this cable being no different!

Expensive but Ugreens quality is very good quick delivery.

Cable is fantastic quality but does not work for all devices, being an active cable it does lead you to believe that it will work on all display ports however this is not the case. It wont work on any device with low power. E.g. a mini pc with 15w draw doesn't output enough power down the dp to power the active chip inside the cable. Meaning the cable will either not register at all or the monitor will flick on for a fraction of a second before turning off again for a few seconds. I had the latter which was very frustrating as the other screen i had connected kept on resizing to adjust for the dp screen which wouldn't connect. The cable does work great on higher powered devices though so if your device draws more than 15w you may be ok.

I was having issues with the dual monitor output from my CalDigit TS4 which was using the 2 usb c display port outputs to connect. This suddenly started with frequent flicking when the MacBook was upgraded and general issues with peripherals. Swapping one of the usb c connections to the inbuilt display port with this cable instantly solved this issue. Plug in and the random flickering and pixel snow instantly disappeared. Not too expensive, active connection and ideal length. What more do you need.

I purchased a new HPE Micro server Gen10 Plus V2 server and I wanted to use the built in display port. I already have DP to HDMI adapters but they are passive and do not work. After reading the review on here about this cable working with a steam deck which needs an active cable, I decided to buy this cable as my HPE server also requires an active cable if I want to use the display port. I purchased this cable not expecting much but to my surprise when I plugged it into my HPE display port an image appeared on the screen. I can and will highly recommend this item to any anyone looking for an active DP to HDMI cable as it works great.

Bought this to connect my Mac Mini to one of two monitors and release one of the Thunderbolt/ USB C ports. It seems like well made cable but it didn’t work at all. It seems you need an ‘active’ cable, which has a third strand to plug into a Thunderbolt/ USB C port…

I like Ugreen cables and hubs. They always work well, are built tough and are affordable. These helped me set up my monitors with my new computer.

The cable itself is Well made, sturdy and all round a very nice cable! The best part is it does what it’s meant to do! I needed a cable to run from my monitor which was HDMi to the DP port on my GPU. I tried another cable first but as it was passive it didn’t work, I needed an active cable and this cable is active and did the trick. So if you’re in the same boat and you’re looking for an active DP to HDMI cable look no further!!

Good & sturdy

Just received it in today and hooked it up. So far, so good! Some reviews say audio and HDR doesn't work, but they are wrong. I can confirm that they both work fine.
