Got this 2 keep my 2 fence climbing dogs in. Ran wire, setup everything. Plugged in and worked, friend tested it and yes it works. Dogs tried to climb out and it stopped them. So far its doing the job and I'm happy

Well it works as described and it’s strong as hell lol. I installed it on my chain link fence with insulators and drove a ground rod 5’ into the ground. I also grounded it to the fence boy that was strong! If you don’t ground the charger it will feel weak.

We have foster dogs that sometimes like to push fence boundaries. We only have a 4' chain link so a large dog can easily put their paws on the edge of the fence. I installed this with 3" offset insulators on the perimeter of the yard at the top of the fence. After install and checking at the end of 400' of poly line, I saw 6Kv with my tester. Dogs guickly tested the effectiveness of the fence and the results were instant. Since we also use electric collars for training, the jolt they get/displayed was no worse than a medium setting on a Dogtra Arc collar. My only reason for 4 stars is that this SHOULD be rated for full outdoor exposure and not really needing a little protective cover.

dead, bought june 4, dead august 1st, testing for power, AC power good.. the zapper is most certainly dead, like a brick, like a rock, like toast, aka bricked as we say in the thinkpads community when an update goes wrong.. buy one at your own risk..

Product works great for a double line (high/low) for our 36ft square dog pen. Keeps the dogs from digging under or trying to climb over the fence.

We got this for our 4 large dogs who would dig under the fence and run the highway/neighborhood ….One of which is people aggressive and one who can be fearful of strangers (we rescue) ….. We had no other choice but to put up an electric fence because … well … getting a zap hurts less than getting hit by a car (we live right off a main road)…. Anyways, this one worked well and they stayed in the gate and far from the wire but crapped out in 4-5ish months … it’s cheaper than a lot of them though … Just be prepared to buy a new one every few months.
