Doritos Blaze Flavored Tortilla Chips, 3.125 Ounce (Pack of 10)

I was really surprised to see these were just Jalapeno chips. I expected Habanero or maybe Ghost Pepper with how hot my friends claimed them to be. Maybe my tolerance is just too high, but these are barely hot. They've got a nice bite to them that's easy snacking for a pepper veteran. If you can't stand the heat, these probably aren't the chips for you. My father probably couldn't eat these, he'd be crying, as his tolerance is about Tabasco level.

I took a bite and was like "what!" these are like 5x hotter than hot cheetos. I can eat a bag of hot cheetos or takis w/o water. I finished off my entire water bottle eating one of these small bags. watch out. I feel like my tongue is almost in pain.

I actually bought these by mistake. I was shopping in a hurry, in a crowded grocery store and I saw a blur of different Doritos flavors. Grabbing a bag from the back to prevent getting one that was smashed, I gently placed it in the cart while looking down my list and didn't actually look at the bag again until I was unpacking groceries. Figuring I might as well try them before giving up, I popped open the bag and I was very pleasantly surprised! These chips are unique in the world of Doritos and they will be a favorite for a certain subset of Doritos heads. Here's why:A healthy level of spice is what you will notice first about these. They contain jalapeno powder which gives these chips that classic jalapeno sizzle. It's not a devastating burn but it's pretty forward in the flavor profile, plus it creeps on you and keeps smoldering in the background after you put the bag down. But what really sets these apart (for me) is the inclusion of tomato powder in the mix. This adds a super awesome tangy sweetness to the mix that really offsets the spice and other flavors. It makes these not only delicious but addictively so. My favorite flavor before this was Spicy Sweet Chili and those are indeed awesome but I will be switching to these for a while. They are that good.If you like a healthy amount of heat along with a tangy sweetness, these are a home run.

I skipped lunch today, decided to give these a try. They ended up replacing lunch, but it’s not cause they taste good. It’s cause I just can’t stop eating chips when I start. IT WAS A MISTAKE.The flavor? Kind of a sweetish chipotle pepper. Spicy? Oh yes. Made my nose run and eyes water. But after a few hours when I revisited them I found I’d gotten completely used to the spiciness. This was the point of no return.After half a bag, I found myself starting to get queasy. It hadn’t been all I’d eaten that day, either. Soon enough I found myself frantically chewing Pepto Bismol as I teetered on the edge of the bed. But it was too late.Within half an hour of feeling initially uneasy, I was remaking that scene from Bridesmaids. You know the one I’m talking about. And then the Blaze came right back up where it came from.Normally, I can eat a whole bag of Doritos and be 100% fine. But I’d say don’t waste your money trying this flavor out. It’s not good in the first place and it certainly doesn’t get better the second time you taste it (if you catch my drift).

These chips are AMAZING!!!! Doritos brought the heat and the sweet. These are not dumbed down for the masses and are the best chips since Fiery Habanero. I am afraid they will discontinue these chips because (in a very whiney voice) "waaaah they're too hot" but I pray they don't. While these chips are not nearly as hot a Fiery Habanero, they do offer a nice kick along with a very bold burst of flavor. 3 out of 5 alarms - medium-high heat.

Zero Flavor and disgusting aftertaste.When compared to all the other wonderful doritos flavors, this is definitely the worst thing that ever happened to doritos.All the people involved in the development and production of this flavor need to be fired from Frito Lay and banned from the food industry for life.When you open the bag the first thing you smell is a dull odor resembling wet cardboard.To think, they actually made a commercial for this garbage SMH.
