The size, warmth and weight were just what I was looking for, especially to heat up my trapezius area after a very minor climbing injury.

This heats up very good

It does the job, gives pretty uniform heat and the control settings are intuitive and obvious, and accurate. The timer works properly. The heating pad is comfortable and fits well, and is a big help in relieving my neck and shoulder pain from a pulled (torn) muscle and neck sprain. Someone complained about the location of the large label on the inside, back, but unless you wear this on your bare skin, it's unnoticeable. The cord, including the control unit, is generous, about 9.5 feet long. The weight of this is plenty, it's listed at 1.2 pounds but is 1 and 3/4 pounds actual weight not counting the cord and control, and sets firmly on my neck and shoulders. I'm male, 5' 9" and 160 pounds. I see no reason for a heavier one. I've been wearing this to bed at night, it helps to relieve the pain so I can sleep, and is very comfortable. Other than the relief it gives me I don't notice it's there, even as thick as it is. It's very soft.I only gave it 4 stars because of a few defects. The little plastic latch that's supposed to secure the power cord to the pad power inlet broke off on opening it the first time. The two plug halves hold together firmly enough without it, that's been no problem so far. And, there's a small hot spot on the neck, toward the right, that gets pretty uncomfortable unless I turn the heat down from 7 to 5. Nothing is perfect in life, but this pad comes closer to it than I expected.

Very good product, it has helped me a lot with the tightness of my shoulders.

Hard to fasten the neck snap. Also heat is not even and hard to understand how the monitor works.

Wish it got hotter but very comfortable
