Wish I had ordered this before I started drywall project
I had looked at DYI videos using this but had a dewalt "dimpler" in my toolset so I skipped buying it at first. The basic dewalt version rips/burns the paper and does a poor job. This works more like a tool specifically made for drywall as the outside ring doesn't spin.If you are a DYI person doing drywall, stop looking and just buy this. Don't even consider the cheaper versions. Either buy this or invest another 150 bucks for a drywall screwdriver.

Ok
It’s a good tool, the magnet works well, easy to use but the head keeps skipping and stopping work.

Just use a normal screwdriver properly.
After trying this product after using the much cheaper drywall dimple bits I’m still left unsatisfied. The non rotating bits break the paper because the rim cuts into the paper. These supposedly prevent that because the rim is allowed to rotate freely. But doesn’t work. It drives the screws in too deep which still defeats the purpose. Would I use these on the ceiling? NO… would I use these on the wall? Maybe, but no. Just use a normal drill bit and learn when to let off and control each screw. Waste of money even though the idea of this was worth the shot.

Game changer for a perfect dimple/countersink in drywall
In the past I have used the drywall dimplers that come in the 4 packs at the big box stores. They work ok, but quickly strip on the Phillips head side, and aren't great at driving drywall screws with a good countersink. I am doing a whole home renovation and have had to replace around 8 sheets of drywall in my kitchen and living room. This Bosch Drywall Dimpler has been amazing for countersinking the drywall screw the exact amount needed each and every time, allowing me to follow up afterwards with mud to hide the screws. The only way you can mess this up is if you don't drive the screw in straight. If you drive the screw at an angle it will causes a portion of the head to stick about the surface of the drywall, which you do not want, of course. I have driven hundreds of drywall screws with this so far and see no signs of wear on the bit yet. Great tool at a great price!

Works well for 500 screws
Will eventually break, ordered two and one of them broke. Stops working properly once any dust gets into it.

Makes drywall installation easy
The best! Makes setting drywall screws clean and easy. Sets the screw at the proper depth and then releases (some type of internal clutch?), magnetized head holds the screw, no paper tears or huge dimples.

A good accessory
Works well at driving screws and preventing paper tears. A must have for any DIY drywall project - big or small.
