The 12 fertilizer stakes were fine (I hope!), but they only give you 2 plastic end caps to fit over the stakes so you can hammer the stakes into the ground. Both of my plastic end caps broke the first time I used them and then I had to hammer the fertilizer stakes using the broken caps. My previous purchases have included one plastic end cap for each stake. I'm guessing the company chose to cut costs to make a bigger profit.
