Tenax Uni-Black Step 1 & 2 - TonerBlack and Cera Black G - Complete System

I have a black composite granite sink that I loved a lot when it was new. But over the years it developed a grayish white haze that would not scrub away. I tried all the recommendations like baby oil, olive oil, etc. and buffing. At first it would do the trick and the sink looked fine for a brief time. Then came the disaster, a small kitchen fire, and a painter who rinsed his white paintbrushes in my black sink. Oh no! I thought for sure I was getting a new sink! Then I saw this Tenax granite dye or color restorer or whatever you want to call it. I thought it was worth a try before I subjected myself to any further kitchen mayhem. So I scrubbed my sink down really well with the Mr. Clean white sponges and white vinegar. Then I rinsed it, let it dry and then scrubbed it down again with just water on the sponges. I let it dry overbite, then wiped it with a dry microfiber cloth. I stirred the Tenax Part 1 slowly so as not to introduce any bubbles. I then applied it liberally with a foam brush and wiped with a cloth as I would any type of stain. When I felt I had nice even coverage, I covered the sink with plastic to keep dust off. The following day I repeated the process. Then I let it dry for 2 days, and polished it down with a microfiber. IT LOOKED GREAT! I won’t say it looked brand new, but close. New sink is not needed. I never got around to the Part 2 because it hasn’t been necessary. I use my sink a lot and there has only been a small change in the black color. I plan to recoat it again soon. (It doesn’t take much so I have a lot left.) Then I may seal it with the Part 2.

Due to the limited number and mixed reviews, I elected to purchase the product. Previous reviewers said it does not work and a waste of money. I concur, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT, it does not work as claimed. Also, this product CANNOT be returned due to the volatility of the product.

My black leathered granite became dull and developed some "whitish" patches in it. This stuff completely took care of that. I did a deep scrub, and wiped it down with rubbing alcohol to remove any remaining dirt, and to ensure it was dry. I applied the Tenax Black 1 with a foam brush, and let it sit overnight. Then I wiped the excess and let it dry a couple of days and it was great (at least so far - we'll see about durability). I also tried Tenax Black 2 and it works as a second step but needs to dry for several days, and the excess needs to be buffed out or it will give off some black onto your clothing. It's really black.

This product works as directed. Not sure how reviewers can say it didn't unless they have not read the directions.
