Fit great
Did the job it took some time to install

Great product but requires tear down to install
Direct fit replacement. However, requires some disassembly to install in the laptop. I needed to replace the battery and two fans in my Alienware 17 R5. To get the battery, you have to unscrew the first and second bottom panel. Pretty easy after that.

hard to install on my laptop but this is not the batteries fault. Battery works perfectly as a replacement for the one that has gone bad. not too expensive.

Painful installation
The battery itself is great - perfect replacement. The actual process of replacing the battery is fairly high difficulty. Search YouTube for video that matches model, and probably view a couple different videos to see if they align or where there might be options. Don't be surprised if after reassembling, something doesn't work and you have to disassemble, review/correct connections, and reassemble.

Expect a chore to disassemble/reassemble
Original battery in our Alienware 17r4 from 2017 swelled up like a tick and was pushing the inner plastic liner out of position. The battery was disposed of and this replacement came a week later. Battery works well so far. This model of laptop wasn’t fun to swap the battery on.
