Ok ladies, here is an honest review of the Brooks Ghost Max Running & Walking Shoe. First let me give you some insight into me so you get a full picture of why I LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE SHOES. I have Plantar Fasciitis in both heels, bad knees, and a bad back from my time in the Air Force. I have normal feet with normal arches, I have a full time,and a part job. My full time job is a desk job, I am a “chair princess” lol, I sit all day except when I CHOOSE to stand at my computer. :-) My part time job is at Food Lion a grocery store as a front end cashier lead and I stand for 7 to 8 hours without sitting down except for my lunch break Friday thru Sunday. I do an abundance of walking and standing during these three days I also do a lot of pushing and pulling to bring shopping carts inside. Until this weekend I have been wearing a pair of Skechers for the last year at the store and my feet have been hurting soooooo bad. So bad in fact that there have been nights that I have literally shuffled, hobbled really, into the house barely able to move because I was in so much pain. Desperate one day I asked my manager if her feet hurt at the end of the day and she looked at me and said “No”. So I asked her what shoes she was wearing and she said “These are Brooks”. I said Ok I will have to try them! Tonight was the end of the first weekend wearing my new Brooks Ghost Max Running & Walking Shoe and this is how I felt at the end of each night: Friday night a 6 hour shift - my heels were a little sore, but not like normal. Saturday night an 8 hour shift - my feet did NOT HURT, this was very unusual. Sunday night an 8 1/2 hour shift - my feet ABSOLUTELY DID NOT HURT, this was definitely UNEXPECTED!!! I wear a size 8 in all closed toe shoes and these are true to size. I will be honest I was skeptical when my manager told me that her feet don’t hurt, but I swear I believe her now! These shoes are amazing. The shoes came laced skipping the last eyelet. I wore the shoes laced that way Friday night they were a touch uncomfortable across the throat of the shoe. So when I put them on Saturday morning I left the last two eyelets unlaced and that made them fit perfectly. These shoes are even cute. Normally tennis shoes shoes are boxy and ugly to me…. BUT NOT THESE! Ladies, my feet feel great, my knees and my back do not even hurt. I did not even have to put inserts in these shoes which completely surprised me! Look ladies I normally despise tennis shoes/sneakers… I mean it all tennis shoes/sneakers period because they all always hurt my feet……….. BUT THEN……..I PUT ON MY FIRST PAIR OF BROOKS SHOES………. At $149.00 this is the most that I have ever paid for a pair of shoes but I promise you I do not regret it at all! You may not want to pay that much for a pair of shoes but I swear they are worth it. Have you heard the saying “You get what you pay for”? Pay the money I promise you will not regret it either. For me these shoes paid for themselves on the second night, they are worth every single penny I paid for them. I have already told a coworker about how amazing these shoes are and I will be telling all my coworkers about Brooks Shoes! I will be buying another pair for when I’m not working…. my work shoes are black so I would like another pair that are not black. Brooks I would like them in a pretty pink please! ;-)

The Ghost Max are phenomenally comfortable. These are bouncy, soft; for all day comfort. From heal to toe they transition perfectly. I have a pair of Ghost 15 but for me, anyway, they surpass even those. There is much less foot fatigue; it seems as if you can go twice as far without that hardened feeling underneath your foot. These are the most softest cushions I have ever put on footwise. Joint pain relief is definitely there, and for anyone with diabetes I recommend these. They do not scrunch your feet all while providing plenty of support. They feel good right out of the box. I've tried the Glycerine, the Ghost 15 and for me, anyway these are the most comfortable. For runners I am not sure, but for walkers and people who stand all day, I would say that these are the absolute best. The color options are great as well. Not boring in any way. I know they are coming out with a Max 2 but maybe I will try them sometime too but I'm actually completely satisfied with these. These are neutral, so if your prone to pronation etc they seem to work but that is more of a personal preference of what is best for any particular person and their decision. I just know that the transition from front to back is smooth and ultra cushioned making your stride easy, bouncy, without fatigue, and without that hardness feel underfoot. Standing all day in these would be a godsend. I wish I had these at Universal Studios, Seaworld, and Disneyland on my last trip. 5 stars from me.

These shoes saved me on our trip to Italy! If you struggle with plantar fascitis or other foot inflammation, these shoes are a life saver! They have a softer and comfortable feel on your feet. The shoes are not heavy but rather lightweight for how much sole they have. Sizing was accurate. They don't have as much arch support as other Brook shoes but that is a minor negative compared to how much they help your overall foot pain. My feet still hurt but it helped enough for me to be able to do all the walking necessary! These shoes are worth the price. Would definitely purchase again!

I usually get my Brooks in a size wide but the last few pairs I've gotten have worn a hole in the side of the shoe over where my bunions are very quickly. I feel like the material quality has gone down but they are still very comfortable and the Brooks cushioning can't be beat. I decided to try an x-wide so the bunions won't rub a hole in the material, and they are huge on my feet. When I walk they flop around a bit, but they don't rub the sides of my feet, so I guess I'll keep wearing them and see if the material holds up better. I wear these because I'm on my feet at work all day, and they make a big difference in lessening foot, leg, and back pain. Unfortunately I have to say that that these are probably the ugliest sneakers I own, lol. They remind me of elderly orthopedic shoes. I don't care since I just wear them for work, as long as my feet don't hurt at the end of the day. I don't think I'll get this style again though, I'll go back to the regular style next time, and the width will depend on how these hold up.

These are awesome shoes. Aside for being incredibly comfortable (I’d consider them a rival to the hoka bondi in terms of comfort, support and versatility - for exercise or daily wear), this color combination is one of my dreams - it’s so good, these are actually stylish. I’ve been wearing them for day to day, primarily, as I currently can’t run or exercise due to a badly herniated disc (so I can’t speak to how they are for that, but cant imagine they’ll be less than awesome), and I’m not one to typically wear “runners” with day to day clothes, but these have been the gateway shoe for that transition. *As a caveat, have a very high arch, so - as with most shoes (& all running shoes I own) - I put in super feet insoles from the start - so can’t comment on arch support (I also think commenting on arch support in a shoe is useless, as everyone’s arch & idea of “support” is vastly different)

These shoes are a dream for my feet! The cushioning feels like running on clouds, but with enough support to keep my knees and hips happy on longer runs. The fit is true to size, and the toe box has just the right amount of room without feeling sloppy. I’ve worn them for both running and all-day errands, and they keep my feet comfortable no matter the distance. Plus, they look great—sleek enough to wear beyond workouts. Brooks nailed it with the Ghost Max!

Very comfortable. When I first wore shoes, it felt like walking on a cloud. I have mobility issues, and these shoe are perfect for my needs. I hope they last a year, very pricy for comfort.
