Works great for an anchor line for a kayak.

Used for a 3lb kayak anchor, this product does exactly what's expected of it. I find the cordage strong enough for this purpose and the locking and retrieving mechanisms work perfectly.

Affordable and comes with line. I connected a 1.5 pound anchor for my fishing kayak. Set up works very well and deploys perfectly. Note that while deploying the anchor, the spool needs to be feathered to avoid backlash which is 100% fine. I pull the line into the kayak and then reel for perfect management. For me this is a simple and perfect setup I highly recommend this product.

I was tired of messing with my old manual wrap "reel" and I liked the price of this one. I've used it half a dozen times and have not had any major issues. The ease of use more then makes up for the couple times the cord wrapped in one place for too long. It took me less the 30 seconds to unwind and re-do it.The ease of pressing a thumb release to let out more line is so ridiculous. So easy and mine feels very solidly built (for plastic) ((but for the price, what do you want?)). It make tending my dive flag so much less complicated, I can now concentrate on my camera and getting some pictures.I have added a lanyard which definitely helps. Simply let go of the reel, use my hand for what ever I need and grab the reel back.I swim in cold water so I do have 7mm gloves which makes it a little more difficult but nothing major. I simply use 3 fingers and wrap my pinkie around the lanyard.For a basic scuba diver looking for a better way to maintain their dive flag I would definitely suggest this reel.

I use it as a drop line for my anchor in my kayak, it's easy for what I use it for, light ocean fishing or river fishing in the yak. Small for a tight fit 👍🏻

works well but built cheap. thin and flimsy. overpriced for what it is. better off getting a kite line reel.

I got this for my new kayak to use with the 3# anchor that it said could be used with it . First time using it the handle area broke and it fell over the side! I lost the rope and holder and the anchor. Very disapointing

Exactly what I was looking for.Will use this as part of a jerk rig for duck decoys.Will also be used for a kayak anchor line.Reels in fast and the locking mechanism is great.
