Lay the mini blocks on the cooking grate. You will get the best result in a closed barbecue, as the smoking chips will exude their tangy smokey aroma. Charcoal Kettle Barbecue: Leave the charcoal to burn through thoroughly, the Smokewood Mini Blocks don’t have to be soaked in water. You will get the best result in a kettle barbecue, if you reduce the air intake to a minimum. Lay the Mini Blocks directly on the lit (no longer burning red) charcoal, close the lid and open the top air flow and that's it. Open Charcoal Barbecues: Soak the Smokewood Mini Blocks in water for 20 to 30 minutes and then lay them on the lit charcoal – ready to go.
