This was a perfect replacement for a lost nipple cap on a Lenovo X1 Carbon, Gen 8.

Does the trick.
Bought a demo t16 gen 1 from my local microcenter for a good deal but it was missing the red nipple. Haven't used a thinkpad in years so I can't say if it's the same quality of the original but it seems fine and functions as intended. Still ended up saving about 100 dollars after the invest for replacement button. If you're needing a replacement for a t16 gen 1 I can confirm it fits and works but can't compare to the original as I have no reference.
