I am not a surveyor, butโฆ
I saw one of these on a building, and thought I'd get a pack. I confess to a certain obsession with hyper-reflective, aka Scotchlite, material. My streets can be poorly illuminated, and walking dogs often necessitate jaywalking, so I have plastered my coat and my pup's leash and harness with reflective stickers (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079L4PFHH), so it's impossible for a driver to say he didn't see us.These are high quality reflective patches; a lot of products that claim to be hyper-reflective are subpar. Not these.I use these on the back of my phone case so I can aim it at oncoming vehicles, and on a couple of other items that I want to be able to easily locate. Hold a light close to your eyes and aim at one of these, and marvel at the intensity of the light reflected back at you!

Good product
My husband is a land surveyor and these worked really well. Actually 5 stars for quality but 4 stars because there were only 19 not 20 in the package.

Bring your own Adhesive
These things wonโt stick to anything. Use tape or bring a stapler.
