Good urinary health dry cat food at an affordable price.
I saw signs that maybe one of my cats might be close to having kidney issues. I decided to try the Purina One plus Urinary Tract Formula. All three of my inside cats love it and so far I have not seen any more evidence of a kidney issue.

So Far So Good
Our 3 year old male DSH developed back to back UTI's with the signature peeing outside the litter box, and leaving little puddles of blood in the bathtub (of which we were able to get a sample and have it checked). After the second time, the Vet put Scruffy on the super expensive prescription food, which in turn we would have to give all three cats. I read about this Purina One option as well as all the Amazon.com customer comments. I also read the negative reviews from other sites and at the end I was not sure what to think. The arguments against the additives were very sound. So, I asked my Vet during a recent check up for one of the cats, and took a copy of the ingredients. The Vet said, in his opinion, that Purina made a good product and that this food is sufficient for the nutritional needs of our cats. We also provide them with wet food. The two who never had the UTI problem get Natural Balance canned cat food in the morning (small measured servings) and Scruffy gets the Purnia wet food made for Urinary tract health. It has been several months and there has been no re-occurrence of the UTI. The food is working and the cats are all in excellent health. Now, somewhat related, is that years ago we adopted an abandoned puppy. For his first two years he had allergic reactions and loose stools. The Vets only could tell us (after lots of tests) that Lee had allergies, which later turned out to be food based. On a whim we tried the Purina One sensitive stomach food (with salmon). The problems went away immediately and he has been on the food 13 years now. My point is that once before when we turned to a Purina product, it solved our problems and years later is doing the same thing for our Scruffy. Lee is now 15 and sadly fading, but he led a very happy life and Purina played a role in keeping him fit and healthy.Just a follow up Feb, 2015: all the animals are on this food and the urinary track wet food as well. They all love this food and recent check ups have them all in great health. We never had a re-occurrence of the UTI.

Mikie likes it!
I actually got 4 different flavors from this company and mix them all up in a bin for my cat. He likes it and eats more when he doesn't like his wet food. It appears to be fresh.

Good non-continget dry food
Purina ONE High Protein Dry Cat Food, +Plus Urinary Tract Health Formula, has become a staple in my cat's diet due to its exceptional nutritional benefits and specialized formula. One of the standout features of this cat food is its high protein content. Formulated with real chicken as the primary ingredient, it provides essential amino acids that support lean muscle maintenance and overall health. This is crucial for my cat's active lifestyle and vitality. The +Plus Urinary Tract Health Formula is another key aspect that I value. It includes a specialized blend of antioxidants and omega-6 fatty acids, which promote a healthy urinary tract and support optimal urinary function. This is particularly important for male cats prone to urinary issues.I appreciate that Purina ONE cat food is crafted with a veterinarian-recommended formula that prioritizes the nutritional needs of adult cats. It contains vitamins and minerals that contribute to a balanced diet, ensuring my cat receives all the necessary nutrients for their well-being.The kibble size and texture are ideal for my cat's preference. They are crunchy enough to promote dental health by reducing plaque buildup and tartar, which supports overall oral hygiene.Packaging-wise, the 7 lb. bag is convenient and easy to store. It keeps the food fresh and maintains its quality over time, ensuring each serving is as nutritious as the last. While Purina ONE High Protein Dry Cat Food is a great choice for my cat's health and well-being, some cats with specific dietary sensitivities may require a different formula. Additionally, it may be on the higher end of the price spectrum compared to other cat food brands, but the quality and health benefits justify the cost.Overall, Purina ONE High Protein Dry Cat Food, +Plus Urinary Tract Health Formula, has proven to be a reliable and beneficial choice for my cat's diet. With its emphasis on protein, urinary tract health support, and overall nutritional balance, it provides peace of mind knowing that I am giving my cat the best possible nutrition to thrive.

For the price you can't beat it
I have a cat that constantly suffered urinary infections. Vet said that the only options were to either put him down, have an expensive surgery that would seriously impact his quality of life, or buy expensive food for urinary tract control. The other stuff was about $100 a bag. I couldn't afford that. Thought I would give this a try. My cats aren't huge fans of this flavor, but I mix it 50/50 with food that they enjoy. It's been a year and a half and my cat hasn't had anymore problems on this diet. Overall the price can't be beat, and it works.

A quality dry food for male cat urinary health if vet allows dry food.
I feed this to my registered feral in harsh winter weather. He’s a neutered male so I want him to have something to protect his urinary health when he is unable in bad weather to get the moisture found thru his hunting the ‘real deal’ (mice’s, voles, grasshoppers etc) in our woods. In nice weather I drop back to a good adult dry cat food. Of course I always supply water.I would feed this also to my inside cat, but he has unusual urinary issues, and can only have urinary wet canned food.
