If you want the best sound machine money can buy this is it I’ve had several other sound machines over the past few years! They all had looping sounds and it would drive me nuts,! You could always hear that little background noise! This machine does not have looping sounds no interruptions just straight white noise. It has an impressive array of sounds. It can go up very loud to cover outside Noise! I have traveled with it in the last week and it covers noise from outside your door in a motel very well. I love the wood bamboo look of the machine. This is very well put together. I read all the reviews before I bought this and someone said it had background noise? I have not noticed this in any settings.

The quality of noises that this little gizmo produces was better than several other competing products. The speaker is large and seems to fill the room with sound, and it doesn't sound cheap and plasticky like many of the other noise generators. The pink noise in particular leads to a lovely night's sleep and blocks out unwanted noises (traffic, dogs barking, cats playing, etc). The sounds don't have any discernable loop start/end, and the volume is plenty loud. The wood grain fits in nicely with our decor. And very importantly, it remembers what sound and volume you chose last so you don't have to cycle through the menu every time you turn it on. Just turn it on and sleep!

This sound machine has been our family's favorite for a couple years now. I've got two at home and one at the grandparent's house. There are three types of sounds - the white/color noise, fan sounds, and music/nature. One kid loves the white noise options and the other likes the fan options. I can easily adjust the volume and either let the thing run all night or use the timer options. One thing to make note of is that if you see a light on the front, then the timer has been selected and it will turn off. I like that because I've had a kid play with the buttons and then can easily tell that oops it will turn off if I don't select the timer to be off. Since this is a plug in type of sound machine, I don't have to worry about batteries. There is no light or fancy apps to deal with so it just feels like a great simple device.

Nice small size. Can pack it easily for hotel rooms and it drowns out the noises in hallways. Enjoy all the different sound options and volume control. Easy to set up.

I have used several apps and dedicated sound machines. My biggest issue is that the recorded sounds repeat too often, so I can hear the recording repeat and it is unnatural. This device works better. I do not have the "I hear the pattern" issue. It also has good sound quality. It does have drawbacks though. It is USB powered but the power cable is not USB. It is USB->barrel connector. So I have to keep track of the power cable. Not great. It also has a cable management channel in the base, but that channel is so small it does not work. Just use a USB-C cable folks. Also, it could really use a backlight on the control panel. It has a lot of buttons for a single-purpose machine and will probably be operated at night. The buttons are not shaped differently so it is hard to operate in the dark.

I went on a work trip recently to a 911 dispatcher conference and my coworker/friend who I roomed with brought this sound machine with to use. She asked me if I minded and I told her honestly I never used a sound machine but I like my fan noise to fall asleep too. We went through all the sounds and since it was October we decided on thunderstorm as our sleeping noise. I never slept better in my life and ordered one for myself to have for when I get home. At home the thunderstorm noise a little on the loud side for my hubby and I still want to somewhat hear my children but I have been listening to the rain noise every night and it truly has made a huge difference in my sleep quality. The device is so light weight and the size is perfect for beside my bed and I plan on bringing it with me when I travel. My friend is so happy I loved this sound machine and she has actually recommended and has given as gifts to fellow 911 dispatchers.

It even has a train noise! For some reason I can always fall asleep on a train when traveling to far away, interesting places, so this makes me very happy. I’m a very light sleeper, so even the tiniest noise can wake me which is a pain. I use the white noise the most, the train for naps, and sometimes I listen to the other sounds just for relaxation or to drown out street noise. Our dogs snore, and this helps to keep me sleeping even if they make a small noise. I have white noise playlists on my phone that I use when traveling, but I like this better. I keep it running pretty much constantly in the bedroom. It looks nicer than my last one (different brand with fewer sound options) which finally gave out after many years. I hope this one lasts as long or longer.
