Review: "Mind over Mattress" a tip for all prayer warriors. - A good book for all prayer, whether individual or collective,an easy, comfortable read with many good pointers to effective prayer, especially for those who like to rise early in the morning to spend time with God before the hustle and bustle of the daily grind begins.I liked Mr Pawson's little quip about this early rising, maybe on a cold and rainy Winters morning with the rain battering on the window panes and the wind howling in the chimney while you are tucked up nice and warm and cosy in your bed.Mr Pawson puts it this way, when early morning prayer is favoured, it's all a matter of "mind over mattress",and this I think, is a very apt description of the willpower required to get out of a warm bed in the early hours, when all is still and quiet, prayer warriors indeed who indulge in this exercise. Anyway, all in all it is a very thought provoking and enjoyable read, and I have no hesitation in recommending it to those Christians who sometimes struggle with prayer,as we all do at times. Review: A great book on prayer - I have only recently come to the works of David Pawson. Doubtless a man of great integrity and wide learning, I sometimes feel that he enjoys being controversal. He certainly brings out meanings and views that are not usually found elsewhere. Sometimes those views are plainly wrong, sometimes not terribly well thought out as to consequences, and sometimes possibly unhelpful to the Christian cause. However, this book is quite exceptional. It is easy to read and quite profound. I would encourage all Christians to read and apply what this author teaches. Fully recommended. Another superb book on prayer is the little known (at least in the UK) "Prayer: Asking and Receiving" by John R Rice (pub. Sword of the Lord). The best book I've ever read
I didn't want this book to end. David pawson helps you get closer to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit through prayer, I thought it was just going to be a prayer book but it tells you reasons your prayers are not being answered, where you might be going wrong and clear advice to help you solve problems of getting through to God, I feel like a better person for having read this book and would advise everyone wanting to get closer to the Godhead to read it

David Pawson
I have found David Pawson to be a plain speaker and his writing to be easily understood. I found his approach thought provoking.

Excellent book
There are many books written about prayer. You could spend the rest of your life reading on the subject of prayer and yet never actually spending time in prayer. This is one of the most practical, helpful books I have read about prayer. It is full of suggestions as to how to improve your approach to prayer, while remaining very close to the biblical aspects of what prayer could and should be. It is easy to read and simply laid out into sensible sections. I would recommend this book to anyone hoping to depen their walk with the Lord.

Absolutely excellent.
I love this book. Very insightful. Very enlightening. David Pawson's writing is just as clear and engaging as his speech. Definitely one of the best Bible expositors in m opinion. Quality of the book was great. Great condition. Nice, thick pages. It even has a pleasant smell to it. Large font, easy to read, easy on the eyes. No excuse whatsoever to not finish reading this gem of a book. If you want to buy a David Pawson book but are not sure which, buy this one. Nothing but praise for this book.

Seeking an answer in the dry times
This is a book designed to be read by ordinary everyday Christians who sometimes (often, even) struggle to pray. It is not designed for theologians, so it is in simple everyday vocabulary. The concepts, though completely biblical, are simple to understand and put into practice. I loved reading it, and like all David Pawson's books, I found it incredibly helpful. I highly recommend it to anyone who lives the Lord and wants to get closer to Him in prayer.

One of the best books I have read in years.
This book should be read by every Christian because it teaches the reader how to defeat the(Evil One)ie the devil. It also teaches how to pray for everything to do with a Christian life, how you are never alone inprayer etc. It is a privilege to be able to read this book freely in a country, that has not just yet, but which will soon be locking up people like me for doing so.

A good practical book which encourages you to pray! Well worth reading, even if you have been a christian for years.

This man obviously puts too much trust in psychology; positive thinking, and is too vague when defining "tongues". But the first half of the book was helpful. And believing being single and lonely to be a gift from God is too stupid for words. Only a married man could utter such an idiotic statement like this.

I wish I had read this book years ago rather than so many other authors on the subject - clear and practical always backed in scripture .
