Great product at an affordable price
My hair is naturally grey, but colored, fine but somewhat coarse, and goes down to my mid-back. My hair care routine is that I wash my hair about every 3 days and I use a curling blow dryer. NATURELAB. TOKYO Perfect Shine Oil Mist has a pleasant light scent, sprays a fine mist, and works well to tame my frizz and make my hair feel soft. I believe those who say it's greasy aren't using it correctly. You shouldn't need to spray it on your roots because your scalp produces natural oils. It's your ends that have been put through the wringer and need the extra care. I spray about 8 spays on the length (top and underneath) of my barely damp hair and comb it through up to the roots. I've never had an issue with greasiness. I always get soft, shiny, unfrizzed hair. As for the price, I bought my first bottle in June 2024 and just now (February 2025) needed to order another, even though I probably still had enough to get through another month. That's $21 for 9 months worth of product, one good bargain.

ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE!
Absolutely love this product! It is a staple in my hair routine. I got a small sample of it years ago in one of my ipsy bags and can only find it here on amazon! You do not need to use alot! I normally spray a small amount (2 sparys) onto my hands and work it through my hair after I have dried it some. Don't use too much or you will look oily! It takes away all the frizzy and leaves it healthy, smooth, soft and shiny looking. It smells amazing and has heat protection.I have thick wavy hair that does not like to be straight! This is a staple for my blowout or straightening routine! A bottle of it usually lasts me about 6 months.

Shiny Hair, Zero Grease
This mist is my new go-to! It adds a weightless shine that makes my hair look freshly styled—even on second-day waves. The spray is fine and even, never too heavy, and it actually tames frizz without making my hair feel oily or flat. I love that it’s a heat protectant too, so I don’t need multiple products. Great size for the price, sleek bottle, and a little goes a long way. Major win!

Not heat protective but it’s a good product
Absolutely love this brand! leaves my hair smooth, smelling great, and looking amazing. Unfortunately I have recently tested its “heat protection” and it was an absolute fail. This product should not be advertised as a heat protection because it doesn’t do anything.

Light, nice fragrance!
This is the best, lightest oil. My hair gets oily easily, but this doesn't sit heavy on it. I use after straightening to help maintain the frizziness. Has a nice light smell that lingers throughout the day as well.

Nice scent, beautiful shine, use it properly
I have long thick brunette hair, for reference. It takes just a bit of trial and error to get this right, but once you do, this product creates beautiful lightweight shine. It smells so nice - sort of warm and sweet, but it's quite light. My husband likes the scent and thought it was perfume. I have to spray lightly and far enough away from my hair to just get a fine mist landing on the hair instead of a strong blast (it's not that there's a problem with the sprayer, it's just that you have to make sure to hold it far enough away from your hair). The shine is SO nice. It does go away a bit if you brush and manipulate your hair so this is a good finishing touch. If you spray too much, brushing or just blasting with a little heat from the hair dryer seems to make it "soak in" and go away a bit. I find this quite lightweight on my thick hair, but it could create a greasy look if you have fine hair or use too much I suppose?

An Okay Product, but Not Recommended
Japanese hair oils are some of the best out there. Brands like Fino and Tsubaki are well known in Japan and in the US. Naturelab's oil mist falls short of the bar set by these brands even though they sell for similar prices. My guess is this company's not popular in Japan but markets their products globally like what's happening with many K beauty brands like Anua, Beauty of Joseon, etc. Cons: Fragrance, mildly moisturizing, slightly greasy look This oil mist has a very strong, cheap salon smell. It's like if you took the Marshalls candle aisle and made it a fragrance. Given, some people might like this smell, I just wanted to put that out there that the smell is very strong. Because it's an 'oil mist' it's less moisturizing than a conditioner, hair mask, or normal hair oil. It is able to be sprayed directly on top of your head but it' leaves a greasy look if you don't brush it out well. Pros: The parts of my hair that got most of the product remained moisturized the following day. For reference, I have thick, low porosity hair. I think this product may do better with folks that have finer hair since the product is light though the issue of product distribution and slight greasy look afterwards doesn't change. Recommendation: Probably just shell out the money for a better hair oil. I personally like the Lucido-L Argan Hair Treatment Oil because it's light but moisturizing without an obnoxious smell. I find Fino to be too moisturizing for my hair and I look greasy the next day. Haven't tried Tsubaki yet.

I love this oil. Ultra fine mist, never leaves my hair oily, soaks in well Hate the price, but I know it s more expensive due to importing from the US.

I think it's protecting my hair and I like that the oil base doesn't make a lot of build up but seriously for that small bottle, it was 40 Canadian dollars. Too expensive for something that does average job

I love this stuff. The only problem I have is that it’s sometimes hard to find.
