Good strong steel
Got this bar stock a few days ago and made a knife from it with the stock removal method was worried about the metal being to hard to cut with my grinder but was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to work with had no problems with the drill press either my only complaint was how hard it was to harden the steel but that's probably the blow torch I was using it did harden good enough after a few tries but not as well as I would have liked still good strong steel would definitely recommend it

Worth it! Great for forging and stock removal
The antler and pewter handled knife pictured is the first knife I’ve ever forged. I found the metal easy to heat treat for a beginner. If u plan to store it be sure to oil the billet to prevent rust! Always good to work with known steel.I wish you all a lifetime of fun and learning. All my best,Ryan

Not annealed, buyer beware
This steel skated a file out of the package, I read that the edges may be hard due to plasma cutting so i put it in the press and tested a few areas. it wasnt just the edges that were hard. if you do not have a solid annealing set up, i would bypass this steel until the manufacturer gets their annealing process fixed.
