I purchased this as i wanted an outdoor camera with a good image quality and I already had eufy cameras at home. The reviews for this camera were good and I haven't been disappointed. Installation was very straightforward, needing only a few screws to attach the bracket to the wall. It comes with a solar panel, which so far has maintained the battery at 100%. It will be interesting to see how it works when there's less sunlight in the winter. The solar panel can be mounted separately and it comes with an extension cable that allows it to be mounted away from the camera. Connecting to the house wifi was simple and the signal strength is strong, just be careful if you have too many solid walls between the camera and your wireless access point, as this can reduce the wifi signal. I connected mine to the homebase 2, which gave additional storage space for video footage. The quality of the camera image is really good. It has AI tracking which will follow people moving around, which was a bonus. It also has infrared for nighttime,so the picture is good at night too. I didn't realise, it also has a spotlight, which can turn on when it senses motion. This is a good deterant to anyone who shouldn't be around your house, but also good to be able to see if you are outside in the dark. My only gripe isn't with the camera,it is the eufy software, which can be hit and miss when trying to download or view footage from the cameras. Sometimes it connects really quickly but other times it will just hang for ages and then fail to view it. I also don't understand why it doesn't record footage if you are live viewing thorugh the camera. I didn't realise this the first time it happened and I thought I could go back a view it but it wasn't there. If you want to keep anyhting you are live viewing, you need to manually hit record in the app, which then saves it to your device, not the camera or homebase. I have ring cameras as well and they store a copy of the video while livestreaming, but that comes at a monthly cost, which the eufy doesnt have. A small gripe but something to be aware of. Overall, so far I'm very impressed. Easy set up, good features and great picture quality. Time will tell whether the solar panel keeps the battery fully charged all year round.

Ive really invested in the Eufy cameras, owning the homebase, as well as two other cameras. The S340 has proved to the best camera ive ordered from Eufy so far. I have directly wired this camera on to a USB charger as it is north facing and struggled to maintain 100% through autumn and winter. I particularly like the light that automatically comes on when it senses movement. There are two cameras on this, one for 1 x zoom and the other for the 3 x zoom. This really helps you get better detail. The AI detection works okay, occasionally it recognises a fence post as a person, but that's a once in a blue moon issue. Easy to mount, would like something from Eufy to make it more secure on the bracket, but you do need a ladder to reach my camera. Very happy with it so far.

I bought 2 of these to replace my ring cameras after I saw some reviews with comparisons and all I can say is, wow! The picture is almost crystal clear, can easily see number plates and peoples faces even at a distance! I was surprised to find it even has a spotlight! It is always constantly charged because of the solar panel too. I found it so funny at first how the camera moves to follow you and it always keeps you in the middle of the picture. No subscription fee and built in storage is also a massive plus! Even if the WiFi drops, we still get our recordings! It has lost a star though because connecting them to our WiFi was an issue, I had to download a previous version of the app to get it to connect but since then it's been flawless. Also, the picture at night is a bit blurry when the camera follows the person.

I’ve been gradually building out a Eufy security system around our home and this camera has been one of the best additions so far. Installation was straightforward, and getting it connected through the Eufy app was quick and hassle-free. The app itself is excellent – easy to navigate, responsive, and packed with useful features without feeling overly complicated. The picture quality is superb. During the day the image is sharp and detailed, and the dual-camera setup gives a much better view of the surrounding area than a standard fixed camera. The pan and tilt functionality works smoothly and makes it easy to cover a large area without worrying about blind spots. One feature I’ve found particularly useful is the activity zone and area mapping. It allows you to fine-tune exactly where motion is detected, which has significantly reduced unnecessary notifications from passing traffic and other irrelevant movement. The solar panel has also been surprisingly effective. Since installation the camera has remained fully charged without any need for manual charging, even with regular activity throughout the day. It’s very much a fit-and-forget solution. Integration with Alexa has been excellent too. I can view the camera feed directly on our Echo Show 11, which is incredibly useful when checking who’s outside without reaching for my phone. The fact there’s no ongoing subscription fee is another major advantage. Overall, this is a fantastic security camera that delivers excellent image quality, reliable performance and great smart home integration. Very impressed with both the camera and the wider Eufy ecosystem.

Bought this after being impressed with their SoloCam S220. While the S220 is good, unfortunately, the position it was in didn't make it easy to access for top-up charging. The S340 has a larger, solar panel, which should allow me to 'fit and forget'. So far, so good. The picture quality is great, and using the night vision the subjects are clear and tracking is consistent. One slight issue was the connection between the solar panel and the camera unit. When I initially fitted, is seemed to have been inserted correctly, but I noticed over 2 days it wasn't charging. No suprise, as it has been xtremely cloudy. But I then discovered in the app the guided installation instructions has an option to test the connectivity of the solar panel. This confirmed it was disconnected. When I pushed the connection back in again, I didn't notice it moving at all, but the app said otherwise. Apart from this, this is all good. Only took 5 minutes to fit.

One of Two. Should last a Lifetime! Worked very well for the first 12 months and then due to heavy rain throughout the first winter the solar panel failed due to the ingress of moisture therefore no longer charging and just out of warranty. I contacted Eufy who advised it's out of warranty but with my {lifetime} argument they relented and supplied another solar panel. I decided to protect the edge of the new panel with external waterproof tape and then after charging the main unit up I refitted the camera along with the replacement panel. It worked fine for another 6 months. The camera then seemed to develop a mind of its own by not recording many of the events that it should have. Contacted Eufy customer service again and was given a list of things to check that I'd already checked several times. One of the Eufy Camera Automatic Software Updates caused the camera to stop charging so over a period of several days it finally crashed and I had to take it down and recharge the battery and again return it to its designated site. The Recordings are Erratic and unexplainable as to why it fails to record when it should. Eufy don’t have a viable answer as to why my camera has a mind of it's own so I’ve given up on them. In My opinion this camera is NOT Suitable or Reliable as a security camera. For something that’s supposed to be for lifetime it fails misserably.

My experience with the eufy Security SoloCam S340. I've been using two of these cameras for 3-4 months now in conjunction with the Eufy Homebase 3 and generally I would say they work reasonably well and overall I am pleased with them although there could be some improvements. Pros: Excellent video quality (inc. at night). Excellent motion detection ability. Some AI capabilities, recognizing specific individuals, pets etc. Solar powered (not seen the battery level drop below 90% but not used through a UK winter yet). Freakin awesome auto follow feature. Well featured app with lots of useful settings. Cons: Cameras are sometimes randomly inaccessible for real-time viewing within the app! Go back a short time later and I can access them again without problem. Definitely room for improvement here however they still consistently record motion, send notifications and playback of recorded video is never an issue. Note both my cameras are connecting to the Homebase 3, experience might be different if connecting directly to a router. In any case, one of the cameras is very close to the Homebase 3 so it's not a wireless range issue. A bit of delay when viewing cameras in real-time, maybe 10-20 seconds. I have some pro grade POE cameras connected to an NVR and even they have some delay. The delay is significantly greater on these though in comparison. An increased delay is to be expected when using wireless as oppose to Ethernet. Camera can easily be removed from wall bracket and simply clip on and off so need to be positioned out of reach! Might not be relevant to many however I use Home Assistant and the ability to integrate any Eufy cameras is a bit of a nightmare and even when they are integrated, real-time viewing is not viable (although this camera has many entities that can still be of use). Many other brands of cameras comparable to Eufy integrate and work flawlessly. I wouldn't expect Eufy to write an integration for HA, however they are responsible for their API's and how their products can be accessed on 3rd party platforms. Eufy, you're lagging well behind in this area! Final thoughts: I don't really need to be viewing the camera(s) in real-time but on the rare occasion when I do, I'd like them to be accessible every time, would be nice also to use in HA as I do with other brands. I can live with this but it could be better. As mentioned, the motion detection is consistent and the footage is stored locally without any subscription so this is a massive advantage over some other popular brands! Did I mention the auto follow mode? It's freakin awesome! The camera has has all the features I would need and is configurable via the app. I'm very pleased with the video quality. I do have concerns about how efficient the solar charging will be during the winter months here in the UK but I've had no issues over the spring months. Aside the few issues I have experienced, I think it's a good camera and both the SoloCam S340's I have have consistently detected/recorded motion events which is the primary reason for my purchase. Would I recommend it... well despite a few issues, overall I'm quite happy with the camera(s) so yeah, I would. However if HA integration is a high priority for you, I regretfully would struggle to advocate.

Llevo 3 semanas monitoreando y comparando su desempeñó con la Ring Plus y sin duda eufy S340 es un producto más confiable y CONSISTENTE en todos los sentidos.
