I bought this as a potato peeler which is stated as something it will peel. It won't. The bottom fitting just spins and drills a hole in the bottom of the potato. When it does spin the potato it doesn't peel it properly. Half of the skin is left on. Unfortunately, I was out of town for a month and missed the date at which I could return it. It might work for something with thin skins like apples but not potatoes.

I lurches this peeler and I loved it, is very faster and easy to use

This is the first time I've ever used something like this, and to be quite honest, I like it. I messed up the first orange that I used it on as I ended up "taking half the orange off", not just the peelings. The 2nd one came off almost perfect. However, the reason why I am giving it only 3 stars is because after I was done with the 1st orange, I looked on the counter and saw a spring laying there. I KNOW it didn't come out of the orange, so it had to come off the machine. I just cannot figure out where it came from. But considering that it peeled the 2nd orange almost perfectly, I'm not going to be too concerned about it.

WOW! I am using this to peel lemons and limes and it works amazingly well. It peels a perfect zest strip without any pith, NONE... The bottom prongs hold any fruit rigidly in place while the top prong holds the fruit from wobbling. Its noisy, but works really, really fast.Tried an apple it was peeled fast and clean.Hint: Need to make sure the cutting device is set at the thinnest setting which means the spring knob is twisted out so that the holder goes in all the way. Also, start the cutting from the top down which minimizes the inward pressure.

My son who loves to cook said I hate peeling, so what better gift then a peeler, he loves it, it says orange peeler but it peels everything. I hope he buys one for me at Christmas hint hint

When placing the fruit on the tri-prong base and pressing down with the pointed press, the spin could be perfect or it could be all over the place. You have ZERO idea to know if your fruit is aligned for proper processing. Then there is the matter of how much fruit vs skin it shaves off. Sometimes too many, sometimes too little. Then it doesn't help that the instructions is mostly intended for the Spain/Spanish market first, English is a footnote in the back of the manual. We'll stick to a knife and cutting board for now!
