Master Lock M50XD Magnum Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Discus Padlock with Key

Heavy duty lock. Made with quality metal for high performance. I use it on an outdoor storage unit in WI and it has held up to two years of rain, snow, and whatever else. Locking mechanism works as well now as when I first put it on. I did notice some scratches on it last I went to my unit. I guess someone tried to cut it off and couldn’t. Definitely recommend this lock to keep your things safe.

Seems to work well to secure my storage unit in my apartment. Make sure you measure the width of what you’re locking so that the shackle opening of this lock fits properly. I like that the shackle is mostly hidden when locked so that it resists bolt cutter attacks. I was using a basic padlock and a thief cut my previous Master lock with ease due to an exposed shackle. Can’t speak on the weatherproof features since my lock is indoors. But I do appreciate the key hole cover to prevent dust from seizing up the lock.

I use this lock on the house by my outside garage door and it works great. I love the lock but the shank on the lock is so thick that it's difficult to get through the hasp. It Hass to be positioned just right and it can be very fiddly as a result, I took away one star, I would definitely recommend it but know that it will be difficult if you're using it on a hasp

It seems like an excellent lock but I was unable to use it because it would not fit around the latch. I ended up using an older generic Master combination lock. Not blaming the lock or the manufacturer just was not the right fit.

We bought this lock for our front gate and it is very sturdy. It is exactly like the picture and so far no complaints.

DO NOT BUY! If I could give -5 stars on here, I absolutely would. The key snapped in HALF and the keyhole did not budge a milimeter...it stayed locked with half of the key stuck inside! I called several locksmiths, and most of them did not want to work on it. The locksmith who eventually worked on it charged us close to $500 in fees to remove this accursed lock from our storage unit. They told us that the lock stopped working properly because the internal spring mechanism broke. WHAT?! Isn't this supposed to be heavy duty?!?!? I will NEVER buy this style of lock again—and now I don't trust ANY Master products. Master should be ashamed of such shoddy quality. They should be paying customers damages for such gross falsification of their product specs. Customers like me lose $$$ in the end and yet Master makes bank. Unacceptable. This needs to change!

Ya he usada la marca con anterioridad y me ha dado buenos resultados y buena durabilidad. Son fialbles. Desgraciadamente a mi caja milwaukee no le quedo pero le buscare otro uso ya que es un buen candado.

This looks like a hell of a lock to ever break or cut. IMO a good sturdy lock, nice to have the cover over the key hole as well.
