good gripe but scratch the new filter
good grip then chain and belt type tool but sharp edge of this tool damages the new filter. they should provide cushion at jaw to protect fillter while tightening. i’m using oil filter pliers and this tool for diy at home on my car

Not practical, doesn't work. Unable to make grip onto the oil filter
It is not able to make grip onto the oil filter. It seems like more you tighten it the stronger the grip will, BUT IT DOESN'T. Not a practical product, avoid if you can. Instead I would suggest buy the Hex nut type (Exactly built for your oil filter) not this common or universal type.
