I got the 18.5" monitor. So worth it. Though the camera does not capture the resolution of the monitor super well, in person, the resolution is great! I'mnot sure how it would be with video games, but for refular work/computer tasks, it's great! It's perfect for my traveling needs. It's light and thin, with a great grippy kick-stand, and it also comes with a really nice grey protective sleeve (also pictured). "Set-up" takes all of 30 seconds, just connect monitor to power source (comes with monitor), and the HDMI cable -- that also comes with the monitor, -- to the computer, et voilà!

I bought this to use as a travel monitor and it has been great. The picture is crisp and clear. The screen is bright. Its the perfect compromise of size for portability and utility. It works great with my MacBook Pro, just plug and go. The stand quality is sturdy as well. The carrying case is high-quality and it comes with all of the necessary cables and power supply.

18.5 inch VisionOwl portable monitor -THE perfect monitor - I purchased mine on July 28, 2025. I love it! Great size AND very portable... It's large enough so that I use it as an extended monitor at work - great brightness, crisp contrast and excellent text clarity. When I head into conference rooms to host in-person meetings with 10-16 attendees, I slip my VisionOwl monitor into it's provided protected, handled & thin carrying sleeve and easily relocate it/set it back up. Its integrated, steady and adjustable stand is perfect - and the larger-size monitor is such a help in my meetings. Then, when I host smaller my smaller in-person meetings/presentations with 2-3 attendees, I turn my monitor/face it towards them to provide enhanced presentations. BUT - the BEST part: VisionOwl's Customer Service... impressive! While I was registering for the free 2-year warranty and choosing my free accessory, I needed a bit of extra help, so I contacted their customer service... VisionOwl's customer service were not only extremely prompt - they were extremely helpful! They went out of their way to deliver Best-In-Class Customer support - for a great product. And FYI - my free accessory (a very sturdy adjustable stand) -arrived within just a couple days!

After debating in my mind for a few days on whether to pick one of the smaller monitors or this one, I picked this monitor. The main reason being the specifications and compatibility (besides the size, of course). My main use case is for having a second monitor when I am traveling. I have been using this monitor for a few days now and have been really liking it. The pro’s — easy to set up (all the cables are provided — and they seem to be good quality cables), crystal clear monitor, great refresh rate and not very strenuous on my eye. IOW, the monitor does live up to its specifications. Sure it is not as great as some of the monitors that you can buy but for my primary use case — portability and cost — it is wonderful. The con’s — the monitor as expected is not as portable as some of the smaller ones. However, I put it into my roller bag and don’t even need to pull it out when I go through TSA Precheck security (in US airports). That is good enough compromise for me. The most important part for me is the fact that the USB-C from my MacBook Pro is able to drive the monitor ok. The brightness is lower (as it should be) but when I am in a crunch, I don’t need to find a power outlet to get the second monitor going. This to me is the ultimate luxury in portability — a good compromise between portability and performance. I have not tested the audio on this monitor since my primary use case is work related. However, I am sure based on what I have seen so far, the sound quality would be adequate enough for what I get for the money. I would highly recommend people to consider this option seriously before deciding on which portable monitor to pick.

This was an absolutely fantastic buy. I was so surprised by the quality of the product. I love the way it sits on my desk and doesn’t scratch the wood. It has a really nice gripping quality to it. The set up was clean and easy. I plugged it in and it ran right out of the box. I love the size of the monitor. It’s not too big, but not too small. Of course I also love the portability and appreciated the nice quality sleeve that came along with it and also the many cables needed for varied connections. I would recommend the seller to everyone. They really go over the top and have even offered me a monitor stand for it. What amazing Customer Service I will definitely be back for a second monitor and will be recommending it to all of my friends.

Nice and easy to use. Large screen - especially compared to the 15" MacBookPro screen I've been using. Easy connections, good picture quality. It was the first time I've had "dual screens" and it made a huge difference in functionality and productivity. One star removed for the incompatibility in connecting to an iPad and iPhone. In order for the monitor to work with either, it requires some download program that is "free" for a short period of time. No thank you. Anyhow - this was a good buy fort what it is being used for - as a bonus, the company offered a choice of a free product, delivered at no additional cost. It was a nice surprise. No flim-flam or shady dealings, just a nice little extra.

Unboxing my Vision Owl 18.5" monitor was a pleasure as, quite rare these days, there was the inclusion of clearly written set up procedures, a code to scan for instant warranty registration, and a sincere invitation to contact the supplier if needing any assistance. I took advantage of this offer and was amazed at how promptly and courteously the advice came back to me. I do a large amount of photo editing on a 14" MacBook with a 27" second monitor. I also do a great deal of travelling and editing and my eyes told me that I needed a portable monitor. The 18.5" Vision Owl seemed to be a practical and well priced option, and pleasingly also came with its own padded carry pouch. The monitor is of excellent quality and well packaged for delivery. I had it set up and running within minutes and it exceeded my expectations in performance and with button controls, and menus, that enabled me to easily set its output to match my MacBook. I have found it runs happily off a USB port on my MacBook without the need for an additional power adaptor. It has certainly assisted me with my travel workflow, and being light and with its own pouch, is no problem to transport. With its fold out stand it is easy to position and stable. I highly recommend this product. I think the size is sufficient to be a step up from the 14" MacBook without being too big and unwieldy.

My work requires extensive use of Excel spreadsheets and I needed a monitor for use when traveling. This monitor suited my needs perfectly. Screen size, resolution, design and ease of use all good! Comes with a nice travel sleeve for protection and an extended warranty after registering product. Recommended!
