Good hood struts replacement - specific order that needs to be installed
The hood struts seem to have good quality as an aftermarket part. They fit my 2009 Camry for a reasonable price. The only challenge that I'd like to note for future buyer is during installation, you need to install the top ball mount FIRST (ball connection on the hood), and then the connection point on the car afterwards. I had done this on one side and it was easy to install, but didn't realize I needed to follow this order and tried installing the struts on the car mount first and then had a long struggle installing it on the hood ball mount. Eventually, I figured it out and followed the order and now both are installed snuggly and secured.

2008 Toyota Camry - works great with adjustment
Bought for the hood prop of a 2008 Toyota Camry. It fit perfectly, you just have to switch the screw-on connection so that the angled one attaches to the hood. Or you could just install it upside down. It’s really strong, a single side held up the hood by itself.

Almost a perfect fit...
These don't fit as well as they should. It would not take much to knock one end off of the ball stud due to the lack of knuckle movement. Yes the housing seems "beefy" but it is too beefy at the connection points.Overall the price was decent, and they work well. This is a good option for someone with a smaller budget, and understands the "risk" involved with possible disengagement. If you are at all worried about the potential for problems, I would recommend spending twice the amount (or more) for some from an auto parts store as they will usually have a better knuckle.I would purchase these again for my personal vehicle.

It was less than 5 mins easy install but not direct, it took me longer to write this review.
The product is good. It's a quick install, I do it myself, I stuck my 1-liter bottle to support the hood from closing itself. or you can just have another person holding it for you just be on the safe side.1) First right after taking out of the box, remove the strut from the compressed ties. (Either cut ties with scissors or use screwdriver, pry to the side carefully, when you are doing that avoid pointing the struts towards yourself or anyone.2) IMPORTANT!! You will need to swap the ball clipper joint by unscrewing them, the ones with slight angled should be on the rod side, the straight one on the thick piston side.3) Remove the old struts by unclipping using a small flat screwdriver. One at a time, remove one, install one is what I meant.4) To install, you just need to push it into the ball socket, always install the top hood end. and then the bottom end, the car engine bay side, the same way pushes it into the ball socket, do not mess with the clips. Once done, you can work on the other side.*Note I Install the struts right side up just as it was originally, I would not agree with some of the comments that they install it upside down,The quality of the product looks as beefy as the original, I hope it will last. will update again when I need to replace them.

Easy to install for a newbie tinker - Toyota Camry 2010
My Camry 2010 had lost strength to hold the hood up after all these years. I finally decided to see what my options were online. The price is very fair. Instructions came with box but I also checked out YouTube to really help me get going if I wasn’t confident. I was able to make the replacement and test it out twice to insure it was good. **Highly recommend for Toyota Camry 2010.**
